I am wondering how thick (vertically) the gasket is ? last year I bought one somewhere on line ( lost my records) that fits horizontally but seems to be too thick. When the diverter is turned it is very tight and wrinkles the gasket ! The one I have is about 5/16 " thick.

Yes this gasket here is the correct spider gasket for the TM-12L valve. You would glue the gasket into the valve and here we have a guide with Video on How to Replace Your Spider Gasket which goes into the gluing of the gasket.

Hi Debbi, The Diverter 1 1/2" (E-12-S1) Gasket will not work on a Jacuzzi Splash Filter. We would need to know the model valve that you on your Jacuzzi Splash Filter.

i have a tm-12 valve changed sand when i backwash the water comes out steady but after 20 seconds it slowes down to a small stream rinse works great filter runs 11 to15 lbs any sugestions thank you

Hi John, You can start by replacing the Diverter Gasket, but the issue sounds like it could be a pump issue. The pump could be losing prime.

Hi, I purchased a spider gasket from a local supplier. After installing the spider gasket, the diffuser valve was level and the handle has no tension. Are there spider gaskets that have a different height or do the gasket wear in and lower the diffuser valve? I think the local pool parts supply have provided the wrong part but the package was discarded and I no longer have the part number. Is the part number on the gasket?

Hi, Eric. They are different diverter gaskets which are used with different valve based on the make and model. Some manufacturer will emboss the part number of the item. You can go back to the store to get the gasket part number. We will also need to know the model of your valve.

Also, the gasket currently in the vavle looks like it came molded into the assembly. It's coming out only little bits at a time. Any help would be appreciated.

There should be a label on the side of your filter, could you supply us with the information from that label? Or there should be a part # listed on your valve label could you supply that?

Hi Joseph, You will need to replace your spider gasket and for your WVS Waterway Valve the spider gasket is only sold glued into the diverter, so you will require this Waterway WVS Diverter with Spider Gasket Glued In. No your pool water will not need to be below your returns when you swap out this part.

Is this the correct gasket for a hayward S-166T valve? My valve is leaking from the waste port. Also, when i turn on the pump/filter, i am getting a brown cloud out of the return into the pool. It last for a few seconds and then flows clear. Is this a spider gasket problem as well? Thanks for any help

Hello David. The Diverter Gasket (Spider Gasket) part number for the Pentair - Praher Multiport Valve 1 1/2" & SM -10 is 271104. Diverter Gasket, 1-1/2" (G-416) - 271104. It is recommended that RTV Silicone be used to secure the Diverter Gasket in place during valve assembly. Clear Silicone RTV 3 Oz. (66br) - 80050 The cover 0-ring may also require replacing (recommended). Cover O-ring Attached please find an exploded parts diagram for the Multiport Valve. Pentair - Praher 1 1/2" TM-12 & SM-10 Part 271141, is the label only. (see page bottom)
