does this flange fit all Pentair superflow VS Poo; pumps? and why is there is crusting around the flange? is it calcium?
Hello, yes this will work for all Superflow VS pumps. In regards to the build-up, that will most likely be a calcium buildup and is just cosmetic, unless there is a leak.

I would like to know if the seal plate is the correct replacement for the Pentair Superflo 1HP motor. I need to remove motor and install a new seal plate.

Removed 4 bolts on either side of seal. Removed end of pump to hold shaft while removing impeller. Removed 2 rubber O rings on impeller housing, cleaned & lubed with pool & spa lube. Removed, cleaned & lubed 'spring' pressure seals @ hub of shaft. Reassembled in reverse order, primed pump, opened all valves & turned on pump. Water began to flow within a minute.

I had a leak between the motor and face plate. I put in the new face plate and it stopped the leak
