Hi Miguel, This would be the correct skimmer door for your SP1070 skimmer. Here is the Basket for the Hayward SP1070 Skimmer and here are the Skimmer Skum Socks.

Where does the rubber bumper go?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/9/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

There is no rubber bump. The bumper referred to in the name of the product is referring to the foam bumper on the inside of the door which is the large rectangle shaped portion of the plastic.

Skimmer weir was 29 years old. Needed replacement

Written on 7/8/2021 by Guest

Had to look hard for the model #, but Inyo Pools saved the day. Great website.
Bad part was digging out the mounting bracket, pretty tough chore. Of course, no instructions from Haward on how this could be accomplished. Which grout or caulk to use, since hammering out the bracket I managed to put holes in the skimmer housing. Found a good sanded grout in an 11” tube, and it stopped leaking. The ink leak detection is a must.
You must lower the pool level and plug the
main drain suction line.
Have Fun! I sure did! Whew!
P.S. Next time, I’ll wait for a cooler day.

Skimmer weir flap would no longer stay attached to skimmer (side nubs completely worn down)

All I had to do is unscrew the old broken weir using a Philips screwdriver. Then prepare the new weir flap for installation, in my case I removed plastic base that is screwed on from the factory. I then put the new weir in the skimmer housing and screwed it onto the old existing base that was still attached to the skimmer from the old weir. I did this by myself by another hand to hold the weir flap while attaching to plate might help.
