I know it comes in multiple lengths but How wide/deep is the rain feature physically? How many inches do you need on top for it to be able to be installed

the top of the waterfall is 6 inch's plus another 3-4" for the fitting out the back and the fitting

Can this feature be lit with lighting for evening effects? I want to shine a light on the waterfall but dont know if it will work.....

Yes, you can. (lighting is not included with the purchase of the 72" Aqua Rain Waterfall W/ 6" lip 48 Streams / Ft. - GA03172061) Please consult with the builder/installer before purchasing to discuss the location of the lighting for correct illumination.
