Part # FILTERFLOSSER
Filter Flosser: Cartridge Cleaning Tool
Filter Flosser was designed by a pool and spa owner to simplify the cleaning of filter cartridges. Save up to 50% on time, effort and water while getting the most out of your cartridges by keeping them clean. Made of durable, polished aluminum, Filter Flosser has a curved nozzle that easily attaches to a common garden hose. High pressure streams of water and air clean between cartridge pleats to rinse away debris quickly and efficiently without getting you soaked by back spray.
With its wide surface area, Filter Flosser provides a fast overall cleaning and can also be concentrated on problem areas for deep cleaning. The control lever allows you to change water flow and direction. Choose from horizontal, vertical and converged water streams to attack dirt and debris from every angle. Backed by a limited lifetime manufacturer's warranty.
3 Ways to Clean for Best Results:
* If you feel the water pressure is too low, try and connect to the homes “water main”. This provides best water pressure from your home.
NOTE: Filter Flosser does not sanitize filter cartridges only removes dirt & debris. We recommend that a cartridge “pre-treat” be used for best results concerning sanitation.
Limited Lifetime Warranty:
You recommended a Power Pic for cleaning the inside of the filters but I cant seem to locate them on your sight even when I put it in the search bar????
Unfortunately, we would not carry those on our website.
Are there any pool opening chemicals that are not good for pleated filter cartridges?
i.e. hth degreaser
Hi, Bruce G. I'm not aware of any pool chemicals that are not good for pleated cartridge filters.
I'm opening my pool in a few weeks, can I soak my filter in bleach water for a day and rinse to ensure almost clean filter for the pool opening ceremonies
This is Vicky from Korea.
I would like to buy this item.
Can you ship to Korea?
I am looking forward to hearing form you soon.
Hi, Vicky. Yes, we can ship this item to Korea. Please reply with your shipping address so that we can prepare a quote for you.
How do I go about cleaning the inside of the filter with this attachment? That has always been the toughest part of cleaning my filters.
Hi, John. Unfortunately, the Filterflosser can not clean the center of a cartridge. The Power Pic is what I'll recommend that you use to get inside of the cartridge.
My pump is working fine, just cleaned the filter grids, there is plenty of suction in the skimmer, but there is no debris caught in the skimmer basket. We had a lot of rain a couple of days ago, and the water level in my pool is all the way near the top of the pool.....Is this the reason? If not, what else can i check?
Hi Brian, If the water level of the pool is currently above the skimmer then it will not allow the skimmer to function as it should. You will need to reduce the water level of the pool to the middle of the skimmer, so that the debris can be caught in the skimmer basket.
CAN I STORE THE FILTER FLOSSER WITH MY POOL CHEMICALS?
No, we do not recommend storing near chemicals. Our nozzles are made of 100% electro polished aluminum and although the performance will not be affected, harsh chemicals will tarnish and pit the finish and diminish the overall appearance
CAN I INCREASE MY WATER PRESSURE FROM THE TAP/HOSE BIB?
No, you cannot increase tap water pressure without a special pump. However, our nozzles are designed to manipulate the way water is applied which boosts the “impact pressure”. If you find that your tap pressure is generally low, try connecting directly to the water main instead; you should see better results.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE WATER PRESSURE OF A TYPICAL GARDEN HOSE?
The Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) calls for water to be delivered to US homes for domestic use at between 35 and 80 pounds per square inch (psi). That varies depending on your water source. Most city water systems produce between 40psi and 70psi of pressure. Houses that have their own well are likely set around 40psi. 50-60 psi is the average household range. The 2009 IRC states "P2903.3 Minimum pressure.

I had been using the garden hose and regular nozzle to clean my pool filters, not really a problem or so I thought. I noticed that a lot of the stuff the pool filter caught was not coming off under the pressure of the regular nozzle. I wondered what else was available so I went online to INYOpools.com and found what I was looking for.
The Filter Flosser does a MUCH better job than the regular hose nozzle. It gets into the small crevices between the filter folds and gets much more of the dirt out. Very satisfied. It is not difficult cleaning the pool filters; all that is required is a little time some thought put into shutting down the pump, taking the filter housing off, but really it is very easy.

This tool simplified and saved time in cleaning the filter. I believe it also provided a better result by producing the strong stream in a focused fold to remove more of the smaller particles. I keep two filters and change them out at cleaning. Letting me take my time to assure its well done. With this tool it makes it so quick, I just clean and replace now.
(1 out of 5 stars) DISAPPOINTMENT

I get so much more water cleaning pressure from a $4 nozzle from HomeDepot. I tried this "filter flosser" once and was so disappointed. The concept looked promising but the results were dismal. I haven't thrown it out yet but it's now with all the other useless tools I seem to collect. Sorry for the negative review but you wanted a review.

this is my first year using a cartridge filter and cleaning it with a hose was a pain. It took over an hour. using this high pressure flosser made the job so much easier and it took 10 minutes. The high pressure spray really gets into the crevices.

Pros: Works great
Cons: None that I can think of.
I cleaned my filter in about one third the time it took with the hose nozzle. It is well made and works like a champ with 75 lbs of water pressure.

Pros: Quick and Thorough Cleaning
Cons: Wish it were Made in USA vs Made in China
Very easy to use and shortened the time needed to clean the pool filter by at least 50%. Also did a much more thorough job than using a garden hose nozzle. However, at this price, I wish an American Company could manufacture it!

The Filter Flosser is a great tool to use, it safes water and time, When I used it for the first time I was very pleased at how quick it took me to clean the filter. It attached well to the hose and it also has a dial to make the pressure low or high.
(2 out of 5 stars) Does what a decent $5 hose sprayer does
Reviewed By: Christopher S. from Springfield, MA ()
Cons: expensive, over priced for what it does.
This is a waste of money, at least for DE grids.. The build quality is fine. It's about that of a 5-10 dollar chrome hose sprayer that has a "flat" setting. I could see how this might be more useful for filters, but try a decent nozzle that has a "flat" setting first. You may save $25.

Pros: It made out of metal and is sturdy.
I used it this morning and it worked as they said it would. I have had several filter cleaners in the past mostly plastic and don't last in the AZ heat. I wished they would make one that you could put down in the filter and back flush to get the stuff that is in the crease of the filter.

Pros: Ease of use
Cons: A little costly.
When I received this unit via UPS, I thought, oh no, its not gonna work, but I must say that even with somewhat low pressure from my spigot, it worked very well on the old filter I was about to replace. I had been breaking out the pressure washer to clean the filter, but hope to get away with just this little cleaner.

Pros: Good quality. Covered more area than hose nosel
Cons: Low pressure.
Great tool. Not the extreme pressure I thought it would porduce, but it worked well. The width of the stream was smaller than the picture shows. The material is metal and it's made of good quality. Overall, it was easier to clean my filter than the regular hose nosel. I'm right in the middle for a recommendation.

Overall I would recommend this product. Definitely saves time over single, pistol grip nozzle -- even though no panacea. Water pressure of spray is adequate, not great. Can be messy until cleaning technique perfected.

Pros: Functional design, power
Cons: Cost. A little pricey (but it may pay for itself over time)
The jets on this little hose nozzle seem perfectly matched to the pleats in my "B" sized filter. They have made cleaning a snap. The red stain from our Alabama soil is tough to get off/out of any fabric, but the focussed power at the focal point of the jets got the job done without damage to the filter.
