Pure Flow Salt Friendly
As salt pools become more popular we have built a pump specifically designed for the demanding water conditions of saltwater pools. The most common area of failure on pool pumps is caused by leaking from the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets. Saltwater and Chlorine can be particularly harsh on these components.
The Pure Flow Salt Friendly uses an Upgraded Corrosion-Resistant Material called Viton™ for the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets. This ensures that your pool pump will be running great for years to come so you can enjoy your crystal clear pool.
Great for Non-Saltwater Pools too!
The Pure Flow Salt Friendly is also great for Non-Saltwater pools. This pump is an excellent Heavy Duty Upgrade for Non-Saltwater pools and is our recommendation for all pools.

Hi I am considering buy pump model PL1611. I was wondering what pump it compares to and why it is being discontinued. The price is in my wheel house for a new pump. Our pool system was damaged from Hurricane Michael and trying to get the pool up and running.

Hi, Chris. This pumps compares to the Hayward Super Pump and or Pentair SuperFlo Pump. This pump is not being discontinued.

I have a Whisper Flo pump, the model number is 011772. It is a 1 hp. Is this pump a suitable replacement? I plan on switching over to a salt system.

Hi, Mark. Unfortunately, this pump is NOT a suitable replacement for your Whisperflo 011772 model pump. You can use the following pump as a replacement; Whisperflo Pump 1 HP - WF-24 / 011772, Super II Pump 1 HP Single Speed - SP3007X10AZ or the Champion 1 HP Max Rate Pump - CHAMPS-110.

Is your 1.5 HP in ground pool pump equal to or exceed the Hayward SP2610X15 Super Pump 1.5 HP Pool Pump spec? Including the fitting size inlet and outlet.

Hi, Tom, the PL1611 Pure Flow Pump would not be as powerful as the Hayward SP2610X15 1.5 HP Super Pump. We would suggest the PureLine Prime Salt Friendly 1.5 HP PL2622 which would be just as powerful as the Hayward Super Pump 1.5 HP. The PL2622 is a drop-in replacement for the Hayward Super Pump, the only difference is that the ports accommodate 2" plumbing where the ports on the Super Pump are for 1.5" plumbing but a standard 1.5" to 2" plumbing fitting can be used to accommodate 1.5" pipe.
