Product Description

Same Quality as Hayward, Pentair, Sta-Rite, Jandy, Jacuzzi & Waterway!

The PureLine Pure Flow pool pump is one of our favorite pumps. This work-horse is designed to be energy efficient, quiet, dependable and all of this at a great price.

Pure Flow Salt Friendly

As salt pools become more popular we have built a pump specifically designed for the demanding water conditions of saltwater pools. The most common area of failure on pool pumps is caused by leaking from the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets. Saltwater and Chlorine can be particularly harsh on these components.

The Pure Flow Salt Friendly uses an Upgraded Corrosion-Resistant Material called Viton for the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets. This ensures that your pool pump will be running great for years to come so you can enjoy your crystal clear pool.

Great for Non-Saltwater Pools too!

The Pure Flow Salt Friendly is also great for Non-Saltwater pools. This pump is an excellent Heavy Duty Upgrade for Non-Saltwater pools and is our recommendation for all pools.

Salt Friendly Features:

  • Corrosion Resistant O-Rings
  • Corrosion Resistant Gaskets
  • Corrosion Resistant Shaft Seal
  • Dual Voltage Switch
  • Ultra Heavy Duty Pump

Salt Friendly Benefits:

  • Great for Salt Pools
  • Extra Long Life on Seals and Gaskets means No Leaking
  • Great as an upgrade for Non-Salt Pools

I just bought this pump in June of this year and its beginning to get louder then what it was a couple of months ago. I measured the sound reading and it's at 76 decibels. What do you think is going on and should it be replaced.

Hi, Bruce. The only thing that could be wrong is the bearings failing. We do not have stock at this time so send a replacement. We can get it back and issue you a refund or you can use it until completely fails. We're getting in, however, not sure exactly when.

I am looking for a replacement motor for my pool pump SMF-110. I have a saltwater pool. The new pump/motor was installed a year ago. It will not start (not capacitor). The defective motor is covered with rust which i believe was caused by the humidity and salt water. Why is this called a "Salt Friendly" pump? Is this the type of pump i should have had? Is this pump recommended for salty environment and salt water pools?

 Reply

A  Answered on 9/5/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Delroy. This pump is built with a heavy-duty shaft seal that is designed to operate in a saltwater water environment. It will provide additional protection. This Pump performance-wise is not a good replacement for the SMF-110 pump.

Hi, John. The PL1135 is the motor that operated this pump. As for priming the pump, check out our How To Prime a Pool Pump and How To Determine Why a Pool Pump Won't Prime guides.

Is this an appropriate match for a 20x40 inground saltwater pool with level yard - 1st skimmer 35 ft away- return port 50 ft away- pvc connect is 1 1/2". Currently replacing hayward super pump which only lasted 2 seasons- not sure if early burnout was due to incorrect size for needs?-(unable to read most info (HP-can't read) model ends in K2N143B1 - AMPS 1(?).0/7.5 - HZ 60 and the #SP1607Z1M

Hi, John. Based on the info provided, I don't think your pump motor failed due to a sizing issue. If you want us to confirm, please provide the Total Dynamic Head (TDH) of your pool.

I am not so concerned as to why the pump failed, but really need to know of a 1 1/2 HP pump with 2 inch value will cause any problems using a conversion to the current 1 1/2 inch lines.

John, It can, however, that is based on the type of pump that you're using. If the pump is cavitating, then the pump is too large for the application.

I have a Harris 1.5 in ground pool pump salt water. Motor needs to be replaced. Do you have just the motor?

Although, this pump model looks very similar to our Pureline PL16 series pool pump, which has a few other names it goes under I cannot say that we have motor listings for that specific model pool pump.

Hi, James. This PL1611 will not be a drop-in replacement physically or performance wise. The Prime 1.5 HP Pump - PL2602 is a more suitable replacement.

Hi, I’ve got an old Hayward superpump C48K2N143B1 1.hp that is beyond repair . I’m wondering if this pump would work. Pool is 11x24, 10,000 gal. Pentair DE filter. I don’t want to spend as much as a Hayward for replacement. Thanks

I would recommend not going up in horsepower as your system may not be compatible. For your model, I would recommend the model pump PL2601

Would you be able to advise why going up by .5 hp would not be compatible with a pool system? My filter is a pentair fnsp 60 as seen in photo. Would there be any reason going up .5 hp would be an issue and if so would you be able to advise why?

Will this replace my Hayward 1hp system? See photo.

A  Answered on 6/3/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi Jeffrey, from an output standpoint the PL1611 would be a suitable replacement for the Hayward Pump in your photo. The plumbing ports on the PL1611 are not in the exact same spot as your current pump so you will have a little re-plumbing if you go that route. If you wanted a drop in replacement then you could go with the PureLine Prime PL2621 1 HP which has the plumbing ports in the exact same spot as your current pump, meaning no replumbing. The Prime does have 2" ports instead of 1.5" ports as shown in your photo so you may have to change the adapter going into the pump but this can be purchased at a local hardware store and is an easy swap.

Can you advise as to a variable speed pump that might work?
     Reply

    • Commented on 6/6/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi Jeffery, I would suggest the PureLine Prime PL2625 Variable Speed Pump as a great replacement to your current pump. The output will be comparable on the high speed, the PL2625 comes with the top of the line Century motor which carries an 18-month warranty and the plumbing will be pretty easy since the ports are in the same location as your current pump. You will save a ton of money on your operational costs when you switch to variable speed. If the PL2625 is more than you want to spend then the PL1615 Variable Speed Pump would be a good option as well, it will have a little less power than your current pump and carries a 12-month warranty.

Hello! My wife and I just bought a new house and the pool pump recently went out on us. We had a professional come over to diagnose the issue and he recommended we replace it with a 1.5hp pump. Would this pump be compatible? Our pool is saltwater as well.

Hi, Mike. We will need to know the model of the pump housing if you want to replace the entire pump.

Purchased a pure line pump few weeks ago 1.5 hp. Everything was fine until two days ago. Pump is working only the basket is not filling up. So reading all the material I can the obvious reason is air. So the technical data in the manual reads I have a J15008. This also matches with name plate data on the motor. I would like to replace the o-ring on the lid. The picture matches what I have so I should get a JR07501002. Is that the correct one? Hope you understand

Is your 1.5 HP in ground pool pump equal to or exceed the Hayward SP2610X15 Super Pump 1.5 HP Pool Pump spec? Including the fitting size inlet and outlet.
 Reply

A  Answered on 4/29/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi, Tom, the PL1611 Pure Flow Pump would not be as powerful as the Hayward SP2610X15 1.5 HP Super Pump. We would suggest the PureLine Prime Salt Friendly 1.5 HP PL2622 which would be just as powerful as the Hayward Super Pump 1.5 HP. The PL2622 is a drop-in replacement for the Hayward Super Pump, the only difference is that the ports accommodate 2" plumbing where the ports on the Super Pump are for 1.5" plumbing but a standard 1.5" to 2" plumbing fitting can be used to accommodate 1.5" pipe.

Hi, Mark. Unfortunately, this pump is NOT a suitable replacement for your Whisperflo 011772 model pump. You can use the following pump as a replacement; Whisperflo Pump 1 HP - WF-24 / 011772, Super II Pump 1 HP Single Speed - SP3007X10AZ or the Champion 1 HP Max Rate Pump - CHAMPS-110

Advantage of using 230v vs 115v?
 Reply

A  Answered on 3/19/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Joe S.

Good afternoon, the advantage of using a pump at 230 would be the amp draw. At 110 this units draws 18 amps at 230 volts the unit draws 9 amps.
