Hi, No this would be fine for a 1,600 gallon pool you will just get a much longer life out of the cell then if you were using it on a 10,000-gallon pool.

My pool is inground and contains about 10,000 galos . Could this Salt System work for my pool. I also have a jacuzzi . What salt system you recommend and price.??
