Optional Add-On Accessories

Salt Cell Cleaning Stand

This cleaning stand simplifies cell cleaning and eliminates having to soak the cell in a bucket of muriatic acid solution. This Cleaning stand is used for PureLine Crystal Pure salt cells. You should clean your salt cell every 2 months to avoid calcium build up on your salt cell. By cleaning your salt cell regularly you will prolong the life of the cell. Also if you get too much calcium build up on the salt cell then the system will stop producing chlorine, regular cleanings ensure that your salt system will not stop producing chlorine.

Salt Test Strips

Salt Test Strips are used to accurately measure the salt level in your pool. The Crystal Pure Salt System does measure and give salt readout levels on the power supply however it is nice to have salt test strips upon startup of your Salt System. During startup up you will use your test strips to make sure that you add the correct amount of salt to your pool, it is also good to be able to compare the salt readings on the power supply to those of the salt test strips to make sure the system is giving accurate salt readings.

Straight Pipe Place Holder - Dummy Cell

This straight pipe holder also called a dummy cell is used for several scenarios which we have listed below.

Winter: It is suggested that in areas of the country that you close your pool for the winter that you replace your normal cell with this dummy cell, the reason being is that the standard cell is expensive and by removing the standard cell you will prolong the cell's life.

Cell Cleaning: When you remove your normal cell for cleaning it is nice to have the dummy cell as you can replace the normal cell with the dummy cell so you continue to filter your pool while you clean your cell.

Spring Start-Up: The dummy cell is great to use during spring start up as quite often the pool can be quite dirty and you don't want large dirt and debris to get lodged in your standard salt cell.

I don't see the specs for the SWG. What is the required or minimum flow rate (gpm) for this SWG. Thanks Gerald

These units will need a minimum of 30 GPMS to operate the flow switch.

I have a variable speed pump will this work with the reduced flow rates when it dials down

Good morning Jim, yes this will work with a variable speed pump. It would need to run at least to achieve the 30 GPM to activate the flow switch. At RPMS that would be around 1700-2100.

what is the average cost to switch to a salt water pool system?

Hello Greg- The only expenses when switching over to salt will be the Chlorinator and however much salt you will need to get your pool to the correct salt level. Here is a blog that will help: http://www.inyopools.com/Blog/converting-your-pool-to-saltwater/.

What are the differences between 7700 and 7709 models?
 Reply

A  Answered on 7/5/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

The PL7700 has a 2-year warranty because the metal plates in the cell have more coatings giving it more durability. The PL7709 model has less giving it a one year warranty.

Replacing Jandy salt system that died.

Written on 3/22/2020 by Guest

Hello All,

It is fairly easy for the mechanically savvy. Turn off the power! ***If you are not comfortable working with electricity, Then STOP now! You should have an electrician or pool repair company do this project!

I wired the system into the 220v timer for the pool pump. That way it turns on and off with the pump.

Most of this project truly is PVC plumbing. Pipes have to be cut and retrofit with existing plumbing.

There is no one story that will tell you how to do that, you just have to dive in. Make sure you use appropriate cleaner and glue. Measure twice and cut once. I used a miter box saw to make my cuts so it was a lot faster and had square ends on the pipe.
Let the glue dry for an hour or so before turning the system back on!

Note: The salt cell should be the last thing inline on the return side.

The old system was no longer working.

Written on 7/6/2019 by Guest

The old system burned out. So all I had to do was replace it with this new one.

I turned off the power @ the beaker box.

Disconnected the power & ground wires unplugged the cell and the flow sensor.

Unscrewed the old system and replaced it with the new system.

I plugged in the cell and flow switch then screwed the power and ground wires back in. Turned the breaker on. I found it to be really easy to do by myself.
