I am wondering if you need to put sand under the Gorilla floor padding? Or can this be just set on the level ground?

You can set up the Gorilla floor pad either way. Some of our customers will put a layer of sand down and then the Gorilla floor pad. However the manufacturer states that you do not have to put sand down first.

Can the Gorilla Floor Padding be cut to our size above ground pool? We have a 15'x27' oval above ground pool and the closest size is 15'x30'.

Yes, you can cut the Gorilla Floor Padding to size of your above ground pool.

If the Gorilla Floor Padding is put down, do we still need pool cove to put around the bottom of the above ground pool?

You do not have to use pool cove with the Gorilla Floor Padding, but it is strongly recommended. The cove works to prolong the life of the liner, by reducing the tension placed on it, as it seats at the angle made by the pool floor and pool wall.
