The Total Eclipse ozone system uses an internal pump to operate 24-hours per day, independently from the main filtration system, while the standard Eclipse ties into the main pump cycle.

Either model will work well on an above ground pool but we would recommend the use of the MDV (Mixing Degas Vessel) kit to protect the vinyl liner.

I will be installing a salt chlorine generator and a Del Eclipse Ozonator. Which piece of equipment should be last, the salt chlorine generator or the ozonator? Why?

The ozone will help keep the salt cell plates clean, so generally the salt cell should be installed last in line. If space is limited, the ozone injector can be installed last in line.

Yes, it is recommended that the filter is cleaned one day before starting the ozonator. The pH and alkalinity levels will need to be balanced. The pool will need to be super chlorinated and run continuously for 24 hours.

When installing an ozone generator on an in-ground pool with an in-line tablet chlorinator like the Pentair model 320, would the ozone generator injector be placed before or after the chlorinator? Thanks!

The ozonator would be installed inline before the tablet feeder.

If you install an ozone injector before the tablet chlorinator, won't the ozone gas displace the water in the tablet chlorinator resulting in no water to leach chlorine from the tablets? How could you avoid this? Thanks!

Hello - Per the Del Zone Eclipse Manual " 2D-1. Plumbing the Injector Manifold: The 2" DEL Adjustable Injector Manifold (Figure 2) must be installed in the pool's main return line after all other pool equipment (pump, fi lter, and heater)."
