In the description, it says cell not included, but then, right under that it says that the cell IS included. So, is it or not? Thank you!

I apologize, that is not worded very good. It comes with the cell, I think what they wanted to say there is that there is a replacement cell sold separately, but the complete system comes with the cell. That system will need to be special ordered from Hayward though, we do not have it in stock.

I am not particularly happy with my Jandy Aquapure system. Does anyone make a system that is compatible with their control system?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/19/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Bill. You can use any chlorine generator if you have a Jandy Pool Automation controller. The controller will only be able to send power to the chlorine generator telling it when to turn on/off.

I have an inground pool with vinyl liner and a Hayward pump and filter system that uses de. Can I use the existing pump and filter system and convert it to a salt system? Do you still use the de? Also, what model would I need for a 21,000 gal pool? Thank you for your help.

Yes, you can add a salt system to your system and yes, you still would use D.E. powder. These systems are just add ons to your current system. I would recommend the AQR15.

Hi, Mike. This system will work with a 16'x32' in-ground pool as long as it does not exceed 30,000 gallons of water.

I have a newly installed 28' round above ground Doughboy that I bought used. I have the original Doughboy pump and sand filter system and want to use a salt system instead of chlorine. It's about 18,000 gals. What salt system would you recommend? Can I use the Hayward system you have on sale ? Thanks
 Reply

A  Answered on 8/2/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alex V.

Tom, Unfortunately, this system can not be used on above ground pools. I would recommend the Hayward Aquatrol system. Please keep in mind that adding a salt system to your pool will corrode any metal/steel components over time.

Does it come with a check valve so the water does not flow back to the heater?

A  Answered on 4/18/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Joe S.

This unit does not come with a check valve. That would be something that would need to be purchased separately. Check Valves

Does this need to be wired directly into the breaker box, or does it just plug in? Also, does it adjust for pH as well or is another system needed for that? Thanks
 Reply

A  Answered on 4/26/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Joe S.

The Control Box must be mounted a minimum of 10 ft. (4 meters) horizontal distance (or more, if local codes require) from the pool, within 3ft from a GFCI outlet, and within 15ft from where the Cell is installed. This unit does not control or monitor PH. You would need Aqua Rite Pro Power Supply & Salt Cell (40,000 Gallons) (AQR15PRO) with  Chemistry Kit 1, pH and ORP Sense, ORP Dispense - AQLCHEM and Chemistry Kit 2, CO2 pH Dispense - AQLCHEM2.

Hi, Dario. If you're currently using chlorine tabs, you do not have to drain the pool to make the conversion. However, you will if you're using bromine or biguanide sanitizers.

Can i use a sand filter in a salt water pool. We are looking to buy a home in Arizona and have questions. Existing cell appears to be non functional. Display does not light and we see a chlorine float in the pool. We have not talked to the current owner but assume it has been converted to chlorine. evidence of DE usage around skimmer basket.
