Will this part stop my filter from leaking out of the back flush port while in the filter position ?

Wayne, When the spider gasket is bad or no longer able to seal properly that can cause the issue you're having. Replacing this cover assembly will more than likely solve your problem.

Is this part compatible with the Sta-rite Cristol-Flo T-240BP-1 sand filter? I stripped the threads for the pressure gauge and need to replace the cover assembly/multiport valve.

Yes this would be the correct filter valve cover assembly for the the Sta-rite Cristol-Flo T-240BP-1 sand filter.

I have a Sta-Rite T200TB-1 sand filter and it is leaking out the back. The spring is wore out so it doesn't hold the down like it should. From the research I've done the whole top assembly (valve) of my filter is part #WC112-148A, but it is no longer available. The replacement valve is the MPV-261186. Will this Pentair 77704-0104 work for the top of my valve or do I need to get the whole replacement valve (261186)?

Hi, Keith. This Plug & Cover Assy MPV 1-1/2" - 77704-0104 will fit the original WC112-148A valve resolving your current issue or you can replace the entire valve with p/n 261186.

If I have a T-200BP-1 is this the replacement part if I have water leaking from my backwash line when the pump is working? It doesn't leak when the pump is off.

Hello Robert.  The Pentair Products Plug & Cover WC112 Series, part 77704-0104, will fit the Sta-Rite T240BP-1 if it has the original Sta-Rite 1-1/2" WC112 Series Multiport Valve.   Sta-Rite 1-1/2" WC112 Series Multiport Valve    Note Key item 17.
