Is Pentair 190030 drain cap the same part as Pentair 86202000?

Hi, The Drain Plug - 190030 is not the same as the Drain Plug - 86202000, they are used on different model filter manufactured at different times.

Thanks for including the picture. We have a Pentair Clean & Clear Plus installed about 2010. Our manual identifies this spot as 86202000 -- however, this photo and description matches the actual plug I just removed. My plug's in great shape, but I want to ensure I get the proper ring to replace my existing, exhausted ring.

I see people complaining about the drain plugs not threading in. How am I supposed to know when my unit was made? Where do I look to get that info so I do not buy the wrong plug. It never fails me these manufactures are always throwing a wrench in the wood pile and changing shit that is best left alone.

Ronald above asked both whether this was the proper drain plug for Pentair 188592 and also what is the correct O-Ring for this plug. His question on the proper O-ring was not answered and i have the same question. What is the proper O-ring for this drain plug- which is being used on a 188592 filter-i need to replace mine.

Hello Angie. Attached please find the Pentair Clean & Clear Plus Cartridge exploded parts diagram. Pentair Clean & Clear Plus Cartridge The drain cap (plug) and o-ring (gasket) vary depending on the year of filter manufacture. The Drain Plug (Cap) and O-Ring (Gasket) selections are listed under part keys 18 and 19. One of the selections should match the existing drain plug and o-ring.
