Hi Brad, The Jacuzzi 39-2543-05 has been discontinued, but we do have the Jacuzzi MFM Replacement Valve which will work for you. It is possible that the ports on the new valve may be in a slightly different location than your original, if so then there may be some slight re-plumbing.

I have a Jacuzzi Laser 250 (older model). The lid is cracked. Would the lid of this current 39-2588-00R simply fit on top of the old "base" using the 7 bolts or would I have to change the entire valve, and if so, would the lines line up or will it have to be re-plumbed?

Hi Neil, The Dvk-6 Top Mount Valve Bolt On Style (39258800R) can be used with you Jacuzzi Laser sand filter. You may have to re-plumb depending on the valve you currently have.

Hi Roger, yes this would be the replacement valve for the Jacuzzi Laser 190L you may have re-plumbing to the valve depending on which valve was originally on your filter.

i have 250 laser sand filter is Dvk-6 Top Mount Valve Bolt On Style the right one for this filter and if so does the upper sand pipe basket come with it, the one I have looks to be attached with no way to take it off.

Hi Glen, This valve can be used with the Jacuzzi Laser Sand Bolt-On Style Filter. The Upper Standpipe Basket Assy is not included with the valve.

I have a valve that has 7 bolts connecting the top to bottom piece. It needs new gaskets and springs but I can not identify what valve manufacturer as it is worn. .

Hello Barraz- The outside threading is going to be about 2.5". Here are the unions recommended for that valve: Pump Union, 1-1/2" Nut X 1-1/2" Slip (400-4060) - 0602-15.

Just received my new replacement top mount valve for my Jacuzzi MFM17 and externally it plumbs up perfectly. My question is about the internal plumbing as it relates to the inside of the tank. It seems that (see photos) the stand pipe is in two separate pieces, one piece from the bottom of the filter rising up to the upper pipe that is glued to the old valve. These two pipes connect together through the basket assembly. Can you suggest what part(s) I would need to order to fix this?

Hi Ed, you would need to get the Flow Diverter and the upper standpipe basket assembly as well as a short piece of PVC pipe from your local home center (Ace, Lowe's, Home Depot) as the upper standpipe is obsolete on your Jacuzzi MFM Sand Filter.
