Can you use this product to stop a leak in a vinyl liner pool?
 Reply

This product will stop a pin hole leak in a vinyl liner pool if the leak is at the floor of the pool. The chemical is heavier than water so it will sink to the bottom.

How do I use Fix a Leak?
 Reply

A  Answered on 2/10/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Depending on the type of leak you are looking to repair, there are certain steps you must take before and after using the product. If you are using Fix-A-Leak to seal a pinhole leak in a pool liner you will want to set your filter vale to recirculate. If you don't have a filter valve on your filter then you can remove the filter element from the filter. Once this has been done you can slowly pour the product through the skimmer. The product has very simple instructions on the container. If you want to see Fix-A-Leak in action, feel free to check out this > >video.

How long after putting the Fix A Leak in my above ground pool can we swim?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/27/2013 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

After the product is used, it should be allowed to cure for 24-48 hours depending on the leak. It would be best to go swimming before the Fix-A-Leak is used. If that's not possible, I would recommend waiting 12 hours before resuming swimming.

My fiberglass in-ground spa is leaking. I am pretty sure the leak is in the return drain as that is where the leak stops. Do you simply pour the solution in the spa and allow it to find the leak?

We have a small pinhole leak in the front housing of our inground pool pump. Would this product stop the leak? Liking this to a pinhole in a radiator.

A  Answered on 8/4/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alex V.

John, This product is designed to seal pin holes in plumbing and liners. This would not seal the pin hole in your pump housing.
