I have trouble keeping my chlorine level where it belongs. The pH and alkalinity are good. Is there another chemical we can add to keep the chlorine level up?

I would recommend checking the Cyanuric acid levels and adjusting if necessary. Cyanuric acid (conditioner) protects the chlorine from being burnt out by the sun.

If I'm not getting a Cyanuric Acid reading with my test, does that mean there is no conditioner in the pool?

The Natural Chemistry POOL WATER CONDITIONER 1 Gal - 07401  increases CYA level to 32ppm per 10,000 gallons. If the stabilizer is at 0ppm it is best to raise to 30ppm and maintain with the stabilized chlorine tablets and continue to always test the areas and adjust as needed.

Is this conditioner any better than the granular conditioner?

Yes, Instant Pool Water Conditioner is an easy to pour liquid that instantly protects chlorine from sunlight as soon as it is added to the pool water. Granular cyanuric acid is very acidic and it takes from 4 to 7 days to dissolve.

My pool is constantly turning green. The pool company we use shocks the pool every time it turns green but there seems to be no permanent solution. What could possibly be wrong?

Without knowing more about the swimming pool or the water chemistry, it will be difficult to trouble shoot. I would recommend having the pool water tested and make any necessary adjustments. The issue could be something as simple as low cyanuric acid to something more complex.

What level should my cyanuric acid be?

Cyanuric acid should be maintained anywhere between 30-50 ppm. If you have a salt system, you will need to check with the manufacturer for the recommended level.

Hi! I am interested in your product for use in a science fair project. The goal is to determine the effect of hypochlorous acid on turf grass. Can you tell me if your product is pure hypochlorous acid, or what its chemical formula is? Thank you.

Hi Hannah, The Natural Chemistry Water Conditioner does not contain hypochlorous acid. It consist of Monosodium cyanurate monohydrate 35% and Ingredients 65%.
