I have an above ground pool with a deck. The steps I have currently are similar to these but without good airflow and no way to add weights underneath. The steps constantly float up and I am fed up! The bottom of the pool has a small slope, would you recommend these? If not do you have a another step that would be appropriate for my pool.

I spoke to the manufacturer of the steps and the way the steps are anchored is that they allow all the air to come out to keep them from floating. As for the small slope,  they said that is a little tougher. It all depends what "small" means. There is a pad that would go under the steps to help it stay in place.

Can these steps be used with entry steps instead of entry ladder?
 Reply

A  Answered on 3/30/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Robert M.

These steps can only be used under water. They can't be used as entry steps on the outside of the pool.

Do the wedding cake steps come with water flo-thru and what does it mean that balast is not needed?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/3/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Yes these wedding cakes steps have a ventilated design meaning that algae will not build up behind the step. Some steps have a compartment called a ballast that you fill with sand to weigh the steps down, this can be a pain when removing the steps. The design of these steps do not need a ballast to keep the steps in place.

can you get these steps with the rail on the other side?
 Reply

A  Answered on 7/21/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Bob D.

Hi Kim. According to the manual and all the photos I've seen the only post holes are on the right side of the steps (as you descend). I'm sorry if that doesn't work for you but I've checked every available source.

Hi Karen, this wedding cake step is designed to be anchored by bolting the Deck Flange to the deck. There is no information in the manual about weighting the steps down.

Will these steps work with an in-ground pool?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/28/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alan M.

Hi, this wedding cake step is designed to be anchored by bolting the Deck Flange to the deck. This step design will work if you have a way of anchoring the steps to the deck of your pool, but these steps are not designed for in ground pool when taking into consideration any sloped transition from the wall to the floor of the pool.

Hello, here is a link to the manual for the Finest Wedding Cake Step. On page 15 of the manual, it has the list of parts for this step system. Although we do not carry the parts, a quick search of the part number you need online should return results of additional retailers that may have it.
