What happens to this when the pump is turned off? I only run my pump for 4-6 hours.

Hi. You will have to remove it from the pool and store it when it's not in use. You do not want to leave it in your pool all the time.

What is the difference between Aqua Fusion PL1802 and Aqua Shark PL1808, I currently have a Barracuda with multiple broken parts and I'm looking to replace it with a similar product.
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/21/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Jack. The Aqua Shark - PL1808 is a diaphragm style cleaner like the Barracuda cleaners and the Aqua Fusion - PL1802 is a flapper valve style cleaner like the Kreepy Krauly. The performance and maneuverability will be different based on your pool's shape, depth, etc.

My pool has a diving end that is ~12 ft deep. Am I out of luck?
 Reply

A  Answered on 6/2/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Jack. With a pool that is 12 ft deep, I would not recommend this cleaner. I would recommend one of these Hayward Cleaners or The 4 Wheel Suction Cleaner for your pool.

Also - It works only on "waste" and not on "filter". Can you please let me know if there's a trick to get it to work on "filter"?
 Reply

A  Answered on 8/6/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

This is usually a sign that when the water is flowing through the filter there is resistance which is reducing the suction to the cleaner. I would look into using a sand cleaner to try and increase suction and if the sand is 5-10 years old maybe consider replacing it.

We have an older version of the aqua shark and it spends the majority of its time in the corner where the built in steps meet the pool wall. No matter how many times we move it , it seems to have an affinity for the corner. Are we doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the unit? Could this be just normal operation? I have replaced the diaphragm, replaced the blue floppy base and measured the suction which appears to be within range.

Hi, Barry. I would recommend repositioning the return jets and using one less section of hose see if the cleaner can avoid that corner.

Is there a way to manually guide this system?
 Reply

A  Answered on 12/22/2020 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

Hi Dee, there really is not a way to manual guide this cleaner besides adjusting the return jets in positions that may help push the cleaner in directions that you would like when it gets to those areas.

Easy assembly, works great. climbs the walls, but cleans only (and remains in) the deep end of the pool (not on the drain). How do I adjust it to clean the shallow end too? The pool bottom is fairly steep.
 Reply

A  Answered on 11/9/2020 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

Hi Stuart, you may need to adjust the suction on the cleaner line or adjust the return jets to assist in pushing the water up towards the shallow end for guidance of the cleaner.
