GORILLA FLOOR PADDING
SUPER STRONG FLOOR PAD PROTECTS LINERS FROM ROCKS & ROOTS
New Gorilla Pad makes old foam floor padding obsolete. Unlike foam, which can be easily cut by roots or rocks under your liner, Gorilla Padding is impervious to almost any sharp object. Gorilla Padding is a geotextile that was developed to protect trash dump liners where any cut would be a catastrophe. Gorilla Padding is super tough, but also adds a layer of cushioning that will eliminate footprints from forming. Gorilla Pad is cut to size and seamed for your pool. No more cutting and taping as with foam. Virtually eliminate vinyl liner bottom leaks with Gorilla Pad.
Note: Gorilla Padding will not stop grass, we suggest Perfect Pool Bottom to stop grass

Hello, we are being advised by our liner installer to NOT use the gorilla pad. Says it does not stay in place well as the liner is being "worked" & we will end up with the pad being wrinkled up under the liner in places. Your thoughts ?? If it does wrinkle up, is this a problem ?? Thank you
Hi, Bob. If installed properly, the pad should not create wrinkles. If wrinkles do occur, they can be smoothed out.
you stated that you do not recommend it being used on concrete... then might you suggest what I use... Thanks
Hi, Tammy. Your above ground pool should be placed or assembled on a green space in a section of your yard. This pad is used to then protect your liner.
will this liner stop the runs made by moles. in 24 ft above ground pool
Clifford, This will not stop the runs made by moles. I would recommend contacting a pest control specialist before installing the pool or liner.
will it hold the feet of pool on liner... what do u suggest. we have a 22 ft ordering the the 24 foot pad :) any infoe u might have will be appreciated. ty :)
For a 22' Pool we would suggest the 24' Liner pad and you can cut any of the material that overlaps past the pools edge.
Does this pad come in white or black or both?Does it come made in only one color?
It only comes in the color black.
Hello again, I was reading the Q & A for the gorilla liner and it states that it is not designed for an expandable liner. With that being said, what would you recommend?
Hi. Although the Gorilla floor padding is not designed to work with an expandable liner you can still use it. Installation would be different bt it can still protect the expandable portion of the liner.
My pool is 16 x 26. The pads come 16 x 28. Can I leave the extra foot on each side and just place the track on it, or does it need to be cut to fit the exact diameter of the pool?
Hello Terri, You can cut the liner to fit just know that you would void all return warranty's by doing that. The pool has to sit on the ground. This pad would go in before the liner.
Can you wash a gorilla pad liner?
Hello Kathy, no it can't the Gorilla pad is a geotextile felt and cannot be washed.
we have a mole problem, they tunnel under the pool liner, and they leave a ditch under the pool liner. is your pool pad rigid enough to help to eliminate the ditch that they leave.
Negative, the pool pad is not rigid enough to maintain its form over a channel. It is only strong enough to prevent debris and sharp objects from coming up from underneath.
why cant you install Gorilla floor padding on grass if it is cut very short and padded with a little sand
The manufacturer states: Gorilla Padding will not stop grass, we suggest Perfect Pool Bottom to stop grass.
I was wondering the gorilla pad is reusable if taken care of after taking the pool down each year?
Yes, the Gorilla Pad is reusable if kept in good condition between installations.
Can you put sand on top of the gorilla pad when you are installing your above ground pool. So that your pool floor can be leveled.
You could but we would advise to put the sand under the padding.
Can the gorilla pad be used if you're putting your pool on a concrete slab
Todd, You can use the product but manufacturers do not recommend installing a pool on concrete. You may void the warranty.
Can it go over grass
Hi Eric, The Gorilla Pad can not go over grass.
I know the Gorilla pad is made to go under the liner, but since my pool is ready can you put it on top of the liner.
The Gorilla Pad must go underneath the liner. The goal of the pad is to protect the liner from objects underneath.
Is the pad exactly 24ft round in one piece?
Hello Mike - The pad is 24' round and in one piece.
Do you have to use foam cove with the Gorilla pad, or do you make a sand cove ? On top of it or under? We are replacing a 19 year old liner. Our pool is above ground 21' round, but is underground about 12-18" since installed. We lost our liner here in Buffalo, NY due to 5 ft of snow. Any suggestions?
Hello Loreen - You can use foam or sand with the Gorilla Pad. The cove would placed on top of the pad.
I just purchased a 24' round above ground pool, should I get a liner a gorilla floor pad a little bigger to make sure edges are covered?
Hi, It's not necessary to get the padding in a larger size, however if doing that give you added security then you can.
Can the Gorilla Floor Padding material be stretched?
No, the Gorilla Floor Padding material does not stretch, it is similar to felt material.
Can the Gorilla Floor Padding be installed under an expandable liner for a 24' round pool that expands up to 72" depth in the center?
The Gorilla Floor Padding is not designed to work in conjunction with the expandable liner.
Does the Gorilla pad go on top of the pool cove?
The Gorilla pad would be put down first and the pool cove would go on top of the Gorilla pad.
How thick is the Gorilla pad?
The Gorilla pad is about an 1/8" thick. It is similar to a piece of felt material.
I am wondering if you need to put sand under the Gorilla floor padding? Or can this be just set on the level ground?
You can set up the Gorilla floor pad either way. Some of our customers will put a layer of sand down and then the Gorilla floor pad. However the manufacturer states that you do not have to put sand down first.

(5 out of 5 stars) Gorilla Pad is great

I have installed well over thirty pools using the gorilla pad and it has yet to let me down. The fact that it is pre-cut and seamed makes it a no brainer. I recommend using it if your installing an above ground.
(5 out of 5 stars) A pool should never be set up with out the Gorrila Pad.

Pros: Very durrable. Don't start your project without one.
We installed the Gorrila Pad at the urging of our helpers. Good thing, we feel some rocks (minor) and no threat to the worst nightmare of roots from the trees fifty feet away searching for water. We have had a record drought and this caused this affect. The roots could not penetrate the Gorrila Pad. If we had not installed it, we would be in big trouble. Highly reccomended to any one with an above ground installation.
