Model # 2025C

Alternate Part #'s HAY-20-540

Product Description

Hayward set the standard for high performance cleaners with the Pool Vac and now we are doing it again with the Pool Vac Ultra. The Pool Vac Ultra automatic cleaner features new product enhancements such as wide, longer wearing wings, plus a 2 year warranty. The Pool Vac Ultra features our exclusive AquaPilot programmed steering which assures that virtually all pools will be cleaned in only 3 - 4 hours. Quiet, attractive and efficient, the Pool Vac Ultra will provide years of satisfying performance.

Add a leaf canister to your Hayward pool cleaner so debris does not collect in your pump basket. The leaf canister fits between 2 sections of the pool cleaners hose, debris is now collected in the leaf canister rather than your pump basket.

Q: What is the difference between the Hayward Pool Vac Ultra and the Hayward Navigator?

A:
The only difference between the Pool Vac Ultra and the Navigator is the shape of the head of the cleaner. The head of the Navigator is square or flat and the Pool Vac Ultra is more rounded. Both cleaners use the exact same internal compnents and the same hose, so if you ever need to replace parts in the future the parts for both cleaners would be the same. Some people say the rounded design on the Pool Vac Ultra performs a little better in the corners of the pool.

Q: What is the difference between the standard Hayward Pool Vac Ultra and the Hayward Pool Vac Ultra Desert Model?

A:
The Hayward Pool Vac Ultra Desert Model is used in parts of the country where your swimming pool recieves a lot of sand. We ship most of the Desert Models to southwestern states like Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. The only difference between the two cleaners is that the Desert Model handles sand much better than the standard model.

Tips on Hose Requirements:
A simple rule of thumb is to measure from the skimmer (or dedicated suction line) to the furthest point in the pool, then add two (2) extra hose lengths.
For example: a 16’ x 32’ rectangular pool will normally take 8 - 10 lengths of hose, depending on depth and skimmer placement.

Tips on Vacuum Requirements:
The necessary vacuum is dictated by the amount of hose utilized. Allow 1 inch of vacuum for every length of hose used.
For example: The pool in the example would need between 8 - 10 inches of vacuum for proper operation.

Comes With...
  • 40 ft. of Hose
  • Vacuum Gauge
  • Skimmer Cone Installation Video

We would recommend you purchase a tune up kit (W300, W330, or W331) for your Hayward Navigator or Pool Vac Ultra. Which kit you purchase depends on what kind of pool you have, concrete or vinyl. Here is a link to the kits: Pool Cleaner Parts  You also might want to look into our pool parts encyclopedia to check to see if you can find your cleaner part: Pool Part encyclopedia

It is not clear with any of the hayward units if they clean the pool walls also. All the text says "cleans entire pool." Do the hayward cleaners clean the pool walls?

How far the cleaner goes up the side of the wall really depends on the suction you are getting from your exsisting filter pump. If you have a small 3/4 HP pump the cleaner will go partially up the walls, the larger the pump and the more suction you have the higher up the pool wall the cleaner will go. I have seen this cleaner go all the way up to the tile line with pumps that have strong suction.
