I currently have a Purex Triton FNX-Plus DE filter (size unknown). I want to switch to a cartridge filter. My pump is 1.5 h.p. Would I have to buy a whole new filter or can the current housing be made to accommodate a cartridge system?

Hi. You will need to replace the entire filter. I would recommend the CCP320 or larger filter.

Planning an upgrade for our 15,000 in-ground plaster pool from a sand filter to a cartridge setup. Is their any advantages to the 4 smaller cartridge configuration in this unit compared to the single cartridge setup on the ccrp200? Does the 4 cartridge setup remove smaller particles? (Smaller microns). Which is the better unit?

As long as the filter is sized correctly for your pool size either filter would work fine. The 4 cartridge filters tend to last longer, less wear.

Do you want 240 sq. ft. 90 gpm or 200 sq. 150 gpm both are great filters? Do you want to clean 4 separate cartridges when necessary or just 1 large filter? Totally up to you what best suits your situation.
