Hi Cathy, Sometimes these bands hang up as you are tightening them. We recommend that you tap them with a rubber mallet as you are tightening them down so they seat properly. Also check that the tank O-ring is not damaged and is seated correctly.

Will this band replace an American product # 602785?

Hi Beatrice, I was not able to cross reference p/n 602785 to a specific American Product filter or part. This clamp will only fit the Pentair Nautilus FNS D.E. or Pac Fab Sea Horse Fiberglass Cart filter's. If you can provide the model or name of the filter you have we can try to locate the correct clamp.

I have a Pentair American filter for my in ground pool It is a DE filter. The filter band was made by American Products, Inc. I need to know if the 195351 will fit the filter. Thank you

We would need to know which specific model filter you have in order to cross reference parts for it. If you are not sure of that model then please send in images of it through our support request page.

My band has 19-5350 stamped on it. Is this the same part number? I see that they now have a "Plus" model that is the SAME filter model number (FNS48) but has the word "Plus" in the name... and is about an inch wider, so I'd like to be sure about the part number :-)
