What is the voltage on this unit? How long is the manufactures warranty? If the system requires repairs during warranty, what do I do?
 Reply

A  Answered on 7/4/2006 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

This pump runs on 115V power. This unit comes with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. If the pump needed repair, you would call Hayward directly and they would put you in touch with a warranty service station in your area.

When should I change the sand in my filter?
 Reply

A  Answered on 1/27/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

You should change the sand in your filter every 5-7 years. You can generally tell that it is time if your pool water is not as clear as it normally is or when you notice the interval between backwashes is shorter. You can use > this guide to walk you through it.

How often do I have to replace the sand in my filter? What is normal operating pressure?
 Reply

A  Answered on 3/1/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

On a "fresh start-up" a filter would operate anywhere between 10-20 psi. As a general rule of thumb you only want to backwash when the pressure increases 8-10 psi. You want to make certain that the pump is being turned off whenever you move the handle on the valve. Once backwashing is complete (3-5 minutes), you can switch to the rinse option to re-settle the sand bed. Sand will typically last 5-7 years. Premature backwashing will wear down the size of the sand which will cause difficulties such as cloudy water and higher operating pressures.

I have the exact same filter and pump. But I need the clear hose that connects the pump to the filter. As well as the connections for that hose, adaptors and clamps. Do you sell this? Thank you.

He have a few different valves for the S180T Hayward Sand Filter that can be viewed on the Hayward Pro Top Mount Sand Filter 18”,21”,22”,23”,24”,27” Parts page. You will need to know if you have 1.5" or 2" plumbing.

Hello, i have a 33x15 above ground pool. Looking to replace pump and filter What would i need to do the job? Also can pump and filter be put in shed next to pool? thank you

A  Answered on 4/24/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alex V.

Tom, I would recommend the Hayward S210T Filter w/ 1.5 HP Matrix Pump - S210T93S for your pool. You can have it installed inside of a shed but keep in mind that during the summer months, the motor will get extremely hot and may cause the motor to shut off due to overheating.

Hi Doug, Yes this would be a suitable system for your pool. You may need to purchase a few Intex Adapters to allow for the system to hook up to an Intex Pool.
