For a color-changing LED light, how do I switch between the different settings with just a standard light switch?
 Reply

A  Answered on 1/20/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The LED lights are designed to move to the next programmed setting each time you turn the switch on and off.  This will toggle through the different color settings and shows.

Does this light come with the controller or do you have to buy it separately?
 Reply

Hello James - This light does not come with a controller. It can be controlled by toggling the light switch or you can add the optional Pentair Intellibrite Controller.

Hi, Meredith. If you have the Pentair Large Niche you can use the PureLine PureColor - PL5832 which is paired with a Pentair Amerlite Fixture and a PureLine LED bulb.

Please click here to view the parts diagram for this model light. To keep it general, first you would remove the clamp ring, then remove the lens and gasket, remove the screws that hold the color wheel assembly, and then you have access to the bulbs.

Hi there. I am having a 45 ft x 16ft rectangular pool built. Can anyone please advise which of these i need to buy? i.e. how many and length? - IntelliBrite 5G Underwater Color-Changing LED Pool Lights?. I have no clue. Could you also please advise if the same lights should be used on the steps? Thanks - any help much appreciated!
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/13/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Helian. For a pool that size I'd recommend one or two of these Intellibrite lights along with a niche. The cored length will be base on how far the run is from the junction box to the pool plus 4 feet. These light should not be used on the steps, the Pentair Glo-Brite LED Lights will be preferred. I will consult the builder so he can incorporate these into the plans.

We have a vinyl liner, inground pool that is 15 years old. It has two Pentair Underwater Lighting fixtures. They are color changing fixtures but not LED (due to age). The markings on the fixtures are "Series 600015, 600016, 600017,600022 - 165 watts, 120 Volts, Bulb Type MR16 75. We need to replace the fixtures. We want to upgrade to LED. What light fixture(s) do you recommend as replacements? Will the Intellibright 5G - No. 601002 work?

Hi, Tim. This Intellibrite 5G - 601002 or the PureColors LED Pool Light Fixture - PL5832 can be used to upgrade your existing lighting to LED.

Hi. The Intellibrite fixture is not compatible with a Purex niche. You will need to get a mounting adapter like the Inground Pool Light Adapter - 25549-500-000

How many of these LED lights would you recommend for a 34 x 14?

 Reply

A  Answered on 11/19/2020 by InyoPools Product Specialist Megan C.

One should be okay for this size pool if you have the option to add two lights in the pool, adding the Intellibrite 5g 120v 100' Color LED Pool Light - 601002 and one Intellibrite 5g 120v 100' Color LED Spa Light in the shallow end will allow for better reflection, however, many will use one large pool light for this size pool. *Before ordering verify the niche is compatible with the fixture or choice, not all light fixtures allow for installation in other manufacturer niches. (Deep and Darker surfaces do not allow for LED colors to illuminate as well as others)
