Hi Art, The SuperFlo 1 HP Dual Speed Pump (340042) can only be wired for 230 volts. A wiring diagram is located on the motor label, you can also follow our How To Wire A Pool Pump guide.

Can I run pump 10hrs/day, prime on high speed and automatically switch to low speed, or does it prime and run on same speed until manually switched

Hi, Ray. The pump is unable to prime on low speed, the switch will allow you to manually switch it from high to low speed and vice versa. In order to have the pump automatically, you will need an external controller like the T10604R or PE153P.

Hello, the correct dual speed replacement motor for the Pentair Superflo pump part number 340042 is motor catalog B981. You will also need a Pentair SuperFlo seal kit when you replace your motor.
