the part number I searched for was 817-0075N the suggested filter was for a haywood I have a proline does it matter?

Steve, This filter can also be used with other filter including your Proline Filter.

I need to replace our Hayward filter cartridge: C-76 O-E 75 Sq. Ft 20 micron approx: 9" diameter 17 1/4 length.
I can't find this exact one, do you have one that will substitute for my old one?

how often should a cartridge filter be replaced. I have had the same cartridge for 7 years. do they eventually wear out

The manufacturer recommends that cartridge filters are replaced every 1-2 years to ensure proper water filtration. Yes, over time they "wear out" and become less and less effective filtering your water.

My filter is approx. 17 1/4 inches tall by approx. 9 inches in diameter. The markings on top of the cartridge filter is

My cartridge is 19inches high with a opening of 5 7/8. what cartridge should I order. Also the inner tower that the cartridge fits into, is there a particular position it should be in?

Hi A, Could you supply us any information off of the label on the side of the filter tank, like model name, manufacturer or square footage? Also if there are any part #'s embossed into the plastic end cap of the cartridge could you supply those? Simply reply back to this email with that info. Also any photos are always helpful.

Hello David. The Pureline Cartridge for Hayward Star Clear Plus 75 Sq. (c-8411) - PL0142 is a compatible replacement filter element for the Hayward Star Clear Plus Cartridge Filter. Attached please find the Hayward Star Clear Plus C751 exploded parts diagram for reference.
