My existing DE Filter is listed as follows: P/N 190029 Rev. D, Ser. #: 08 09 00 01, Pentair pool products, Model # C. I need only the bottom tank to be replaced, would this be the correct item?

Hi Rainier, Based of this information I beleive you have the FNS Plus 60 Filter, can you double check your label to see if this is correct. If so then this would be the correct bottom tank.

My Pool Filter is now 16 years old leaking from the bottom. I wanted to confirm that this is the correct replacement part. The label states Purex Triton FNS Plus and it is the 60 square feet. I assume it is correct, and is it a virtual drop in replacement by unscrewing the input and output lines and just dropping the new unit in place, putting the cartridges back in and putting on the old top?

Hello, This is the correct tank bottom assembly for the FNS Plus 60. Please keep in mind that the newer bottom may or may not line up exactly to your 16 year old top due to the way filters contract and expand.

Not sure how old your older filter actually is. We went back to 1998 thru the mfg & are not able to confirm the tank # you are giving. If your filter is truly that old we really can't recommend just 1 half of the filter tank to due possible slight mold changes, we would have to recommend a new filter complete would be in your best interest.

I have an FNS Plus 60 filter and need just the lower bulkhead fitting (the inlet). Is this available as a separate part. Someone leaned against the tank too hard and this fitting is cracked at the threads & leaking badly when the filter is running.

Hi, Richard. The replacement Bulkheads can be replaced, the P/N's are 190043 (Inlet) and 190141 (Outlet).

I have a 14 yr old FNS Plus 60 D.E. filter and I need to replace the Tank Bottom Assy # 170018 due to a crack in its wall. Will it mate to my existing Lid Assy #170022 without leaking? Also, should I replace the tank clamp o-ring as well?

part #170018 is the tank bottom for the FNS60 Plus -

If your filter is 14 years we really have to recommend you replace the unit complete. Due to the mold designs there is no way we can guarantee a new tank will make perfectly with your 14 yr old lid.

However, isn't thats what the clamp o-ring is for - to account for differences in mold variation and concentricity between the lid and tank bottom?

Unfortunately no as the O -ring is more for sealing the lid to the base and not for accommodating warpage differences between them.

I have a De Filter 60 sgft pentair and the plug at the bottom keeps blowing off. I think it may be the bottom part of the filter hole might be stripped from tightening so many times. I have replaced the plug several times. I also put teflon tape and this other bonding stuff which holds it for maybe a month but then it blows off. Is there anything i can do before I replace the unit and is this common?

Hi Michelle, this is not that common however is possible. The only real thing you can do that is left is to PVC cement it to the drain plug hole which still may not resolve it.
