Hi, we have a Pentair ic40. We have a problem that when we started on the System, all the lights are on, then after a few seconds, all the lights turn off again. Do you have an idea what could be the problem? It is the flow switch that could be damage? Thanks in advance , Waldemar

Sounds to me like there's a power issue, first thing to check would be the power supply. Unplug the power supply cord from power center, check for 25-36 DC volts across the black and red wires, if the volt meter reads the correct voltage then the cell would need replaced, if the voltage does not read correct you will want to change the power supply. Thank you again for contacting us at InyoPools.

I have an IC15 unit. The red flow light stays on constantly but the flow continues. My pool store says I need a new flow control unit. Does the same flow control unit fit all units or is there a special one for the IC15

Sense the flow switch for the IC40 has two probes. Does that mean 1 is for flow, and the other probe is for salt concentrstion. Or is there another switch you have to buy for the salt level

Hi, Torrance. The flow switch sensor do not relay the salinity level back to the system, it only monitors water flow when the two probes make contact just like a magnetic sensor. The salinity sensor is built into the cell and can not be replaced. You will have to replace the entire IC40 Cell - 520555.

Hi, Torrance. The flow switch works when the two probes as you called it makes contact with each other similar to like a door or window magnetic sensor. There is another sensor inside of the cell that monitors the salinity level.

Hi, Pat. Based on the info provided, the flow switch is the issue if you've confirmed that the filter is cleaned and no blockage in the flow through the cell.

I have an Ic40 and the percentage lights will not stop continuously flashing no matter what I push. Help?

Hello,When the percentage lights are blinking, the cell is in the low output mode, if the cell is controlled from an automation system, use the intellichlor settings to adjust, if not continue to press the more buttons to get the cell into the higher output percentages.

My pool has been open for 2 weeks and is perfectly clear and all lights are green. We had a rain storm and now the green salt light is flashing saying high salt level. What could be the problem ?

Dan, the Green (GOOD) salt light is flashing this would indicate that there is too much salt in the pool. This may cause damage to pool related equipment and surrounding surfaces. In order to correct this issue, Pentair suggests diluting the pool water by draining some water from the pool, then refilling with fresh water.

My IC-40 flow switch went bad a year ago. I bypassed the flow wire and it worked fine until now. Now my problem is the Cold Water light coming on and shutting off the cell. Water is 79 degrees F. I know I need to purchase a new flow switch but does the Cold Water light have anything to do with the Flow switch? Does it also measure temp?

Hi, Chad. The Temperature Sensor is built into the cell, NOT the flow switch. You will have to replace the entire cell in order to resolve this issue.

I have the IC20 and it says I have no flow but I clearly do. What sensor do I replace it with-I have looked the model up on your site and it doesn’t recognize it. I attached the sensor tag off the unit?
