I bought 2 covers this year. And they both starting leaking. Seems the o ring stretches out. Please explain why.

Hi, Sandi. O-rings can become stretch out if they're not properly lubricated. They will absorb water causing them to expand.

I am Looking for a replacement strainer lid for a Hayward Power Flo LX pump model SP-1580Z2. Strainer itself has sp-1515 stamped on side. Lid has sticker with number SP-1515A. I can't seem to match the numbers up exactly. The part numb (spx1500d2a) seems to look close. Will this fit? What is the difference between the two parts 5111-17A and 25306-000-202?
