I'd like to replace SQ1152 motor with more energy efficient motor.
Would UQC1152 be a good replacement?
I have an Advantage Manufacturing Inc 1.5 HP 3450 RPM 18/9 Amps Thermally Protected CODE AE 1205 motor that needs replacing.
Is this a comparable motor?
Hi, GWB. I will need the motor service factor (SF) rating and the frame (FR) size in order to locate a replacement motor.
I need to replace the motor on a WhisperFlo pump labeled WF-26. The motor shows a A.O. Smith part 7- 177474-01. Can you tell me the most energy efficient replacement motor. Thank you.
I have a 1.5 horsepower pool motor UST 1152, frame 56j,3450,115/230 volt.. It is on a EZFLO pump.. What is the replacement motor and cost and also replacement pump and motor combo cost?? Also what is the cost and time of shipping for either to 33839... Thanks Bob
Good day, if you have the UST1152 you would need to order the A.O. Smith 1.5 H.P Pool Motor Energy Efficient Round Flange - UCT1152. Guarantee is in 3 business days time in transit. (does not include weekends or holidays)
I have a Hayward Tri-Star Max Flow Rate SP3210Z1M pump 1.50 HP, 1.10 SF. The part number on the motor is 7-F56AA12A04-24. It appears that the specs for this motor line up with the specs on my existing motor. Would this be a suitable motor replacement?

(2) My pump model is STA-RITE P2RA5F-182L. Can I choose UQC1152 instead of USQ1152? What are the difference between USQ1152 and UQC1152?
(3) Which Tune Up Kit shall I purchase for this motor?
Thanks for your further advice!
Hello, yes this one can be used to replace your USQ115, this is just the energy efficient version. The tune-up kit that you need would be the GOKIT54. Please be advised that this tune up kit is designed for models manufactured from 1998 to current. If you have an older model or are unsure about what gokit to chose, I would review this article that goes more in-depth.
I have a 1 1/2 hp marathon motor model# 5KCR39SN2823AX hayward pump, looking for new motor options. What do you recommend?
What replacement can I use for magnetek model wf6c, hp 1 1/2 sf 1.47, 56y, rpm3450, colts 230/115, phase 1, HZ 60?
can I use this motor for part #7-177450-03. My old motor says 1.5hp on the pump, but the replacement on your website has 1 hp on the pump?
Technically you could use this motor but it is a 48 frame which means that it is skinnier than your original hence may not rest on your pump motor stand. The model that comes up as a 1 hp has a total horse power of 1.5. The label just can be confusing. The correct model replacement is the B841.
I want to replace a 1.5 hp AO Smith, CAT B 854, frame 56Y motor with a replacement energy efficient motor. Suggestions?
Looking to replace this motor C48L2PA105 with this energy efficient motor. Is this the correct replacement? Which tune up kit for this motor.
This is this model number of the whole pump assembly - MPRA6F-148L Sta-rite. Dyna Glas. and I'm 99.9% sure it was put together after 1998 as the home was built in 2004.
I have a Flotec AT251501-01 i need to replace that part what can i get please HELP ASAP
Good morning Jannelle, Here is a list of all the parts including the motor Flotec AT251001 & AT251501 Parts. You will need to replace the shaft seal and I would also recommend changing the diffuser o-ring and housing o-ring at the same time.
I replaced our 12 year old motor with a UQC1152 Emergy Efficient A.O. Smith 1 1/2 H.P. motor from your company 2 1/2 years ago. The old one was getting very noisy so the new one was great. But now, after only 2 1/2 years the newer one is making some horrible noise. Is there anything that can be done about that other than replacing the motor again? I would think this one should have lasted at least 10 years.
Hello, I'm looking to replace a Pinnacle Pump #342352 (purchased 5/2006) what is comparable or it's replacement. The impeller is bad but want to replace entire pump. Thanks.
I have a Flotec In ground Pump Model # AT251001-01 - I am needing to replace the motor with a 1-1/2 hp - will the A. O. Smith motor bolt up to the pump ? Can you tell me the compatible A.O. Smith parts I would need? Thanks
Hi Keith, This motor will allow you to upgrade you Flotec AT251001-01 pump from 1HP to 1.5HP. You will also need to replace your current impeller with p/n C105-236PB and confirm that your system can handle the additional water flow.
Will there be any problems with replacing a K48L2PA105A6 with a B2982T given that the former is a 48 and the latter is a 56?
Hi Brain, You will not have any issues replacing the K48L2PA105A6 with the B2982T. You will just have to remove the spacer from the motor stand so that the B2982T motor sit properly if your pump currently have one.
What would be a 2-speed or variable speed pump replacement for a 1.5 hp single speed pump. : K48L2PA105A6. UST1152.
Hi Brian, The 2-Green 1 HP Full Rate Dual Speed w/ Digital Controller (B2982T) would be the 2-Speed replacement or the V-Green 1.65 HP Variable Speed Motor (ECM16SQU) would be the variable speed replacement base off of your current motor.
I have a Whisperflo 1.5 HP square flange pump motor B2854. Will this motor work on my pump even though it is listed as 48y while mine is a 56y? And is this the best energy saving motor short of upgrading to a two-speed or vsp pump? We are about to install a solar system on a second story roof and the rep said to go with a standard duty pump motor.
Hello John, The UQC1152 Energy Efficient A.O. Smith 1 1/2 H.P Square Flange Up Rate Motor will be the most energy efficient option short of going to a dual or variable speed motor. The only difference between 48y and 56y is that the diameter of the barrel on the motor is 1 inch smaller on a 48Y as opposed to the 56Y.
I have a dyna glass 1.5 hp spl kw 1.1, motor 1 phase amps 15.317.6 rpm 3450
model # c48k2pa105
what would be the replacement motor
Hi Steve, Based on the model # C48K2PA105 the A.O. Smith 1 H.P Square Flange Up Rate Motor (USQ1102) would be the correct replacement motor.
I have a motor that has the following specs
AMPS - 15/7.5
FR - 48
Volts - 115/230
RPM - 3450
SF - 1.0
Can I use this replacement motor?
If yes, will I need anything else when I replace the motor?
Hi Matt, The A.O. Smith Energy Efficient 1 1/2 H.P Square Flange Up Rate Motor (UQC1152) can be used to as a replacement if the pump you have uses a square flange motor. To be certain if the UQC1152 motor and to get you the correct seal we will need to know the manufacture and model of the pump housing.
I have a 1999 Pac-Fab Ultra-Flow pool pump and the motor has been very loud this year - It looks like I need to replace the motor but I can't find anything online with the exact replacement motor - the motor has a Part # 10-177450-03, is 1 1/2 HP with SF 1.1, it is 7.8 - 7.4/14.8 amps, 208/230 - 115 v and 3450 RPM. It looks like your replacement motor UQC1152 would work, but not sure?
Hi David, you would require the 1 HP Full Rate Ultra Flo Motor you currently have a 1-1/2 HP Up Rate Motor which is exactly the same as 1 HP Full Rate Motor. We have an article explaining Why a 1 HP Full Rate Motor is the same as 1-1/2 HP Up Rate Motor which may be helpful to read. When replacing your motor we would also suggest an Ultra Flo Tune Up Kit.
Hi, I have a 15 yr old Sta Rite Dura Glass II 1.5 hp motor & pump, the motor is shot, bearing making noise. Pump is P4RA6F - 187L. Motor model from nameplate is AO Smith C48L2PA105 Frame 48Y. Manual says the motor for this pump is A100FLL When searching internet it says motor is USQ1152. Is this EE model ??
Hi Bill, The direct replacement for the C48L2PA105 Duraglas P4RA6F - 187L would be the Standard Efficiency USQ1152 Pool Motor The motor on this page UQC1152, would most definitely work as a replacement for your Duraglas P4RA6F - 187L and it would be the energy-efficient model. So the USQ1152 is the standard efficiency model and the UQC1152 is the energy-efficient model.
Why should I purchase a Tune Up Kit?
A Tune Up Kit includes all of the essential replacement seals and gaskets for the pump. The seals and gaskets should be replaced when installing a new motor on your pump. New seals will prevent the pump from leaking water or losing the prime. A Tune Up Kit will protect your motor and ensure that the pump is working efficiently.
Why do I need to purchase a new shaft seal?
We strongly recommend replacing the shaft seal. The purpose of a shaft seal is to prevent water from running down the shaft of the motor and into the motor housing. Water will damage the bearings and cause the motor to fail. A new shaft seal should be installed whenever a motor is replaced. The motor manufacturer can deny the warranty if the motor fails to due to water damage from a faulty shaft seal. To find your shaft seal you will need to visit our Pool Pump Parts Page or the Spa Pump Parts Page and select your make and model.
What is Service Factor?
Service Factor(SF) is a multiplier that when multiplied by the horsepower of the motor indicates the total permissible horsepower loading that may be carried when the motor is operating at rated voltage and frequency. The most important thing to remember when replacing a motor is that the replacement motor's horsepower times its service factor must be equal to or greater than the original motor's horsepower times its service factor. The Service Factor rating can be found on the motor label. See Step 4 of our How to Read a Pool Motor Label guide.
(5 out of 5 stars) Perfect Replacement

Pros: Perfect fit for old motor
Cons: Removing old impeller - no way to grasp motor shaft
I paid a little more to get a more efficient motor. Ordered on a Saturday & delivered Tues. After some difficulty in removing the impeller from the shaft of the old motor (there is no good way to grasp the motor shaft and I gingerly used a pipe wrench to dislodge the impeller), installation was a snap following the instructions available on INYO's web site. I recommend purchasing the GO-KIT tune up package as the shaft seal showed wear after 8 years & the gaskets tend to dry out and stretch. The new motor was up and running quietly in about 2 hours start to finish.

Wish I would have paid for faster shipping, so I could install it sooner. This motor is so quiet that I don't know its on half the time. Install was easy, three wires, only minor leaks, but that was my fault.

Replaced a bad motor (USQ 1152) on a Dura Glas pump. Runs quiet and does the job. Need a couple of months of run time to verify the energy savings...looking forward to that.
(5 out of 5 stars) Overall a good motor

Pros: Quiet running motor
Cons: More details on locking shaft
This motor replaces an 8 year old motor that had been on its last leg for awhile. The install took about an hour ( I had previously removed the old one) and I had no problems getting the new one in (my 4 year old grandson helped or I may have been done in half the time :) ). I will say there were no instructions in the box for locking the shaft, I had already researched this before it arrived so I had no problem, but it would be good to send this documentation with the motor

Pros: efficient, quiet, documentation available
I bought this pump since it matched the old pump, but had the Energe Effienct rating. I am so happy now, my wife and I can sleep at night. Our old pump was so loud, the entire neighborhood could hear it running. We are already saving on our energy costs, our next bill is estimated 25 percent less than usual. I recommended this pump to my coworker

Replaced a 10 year old A.O.Smith Motor with an Energy Efficient model, last one died. The conversion was simple and everything matched up. The only difference was the L1 & L2 Terminals were in an opposite position, not a problem wiring. Your online install sheets were a great help, particulary learning how to remove the Impeller. Shipment was great, received as scheduled, installed that day. Pool is Blue again.
