Does this pump come with an on/off switch? What is the amp draw of the motor?

This motor does not come with an on/off switch. We recommend the following timer for 1hp models: http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02400001004822.htm. For 1.5hp models, we recommend this timer: http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02200022032590.htm. Amp draw for the 1hp motor is 13.8 amps, and 15 amps for the 1.5hp motor.

I wanted to know what's the difference between a Hayward power-flow LX 1-1/2 HP, 115V, 1Spd. Pump w/twist lock cord and one without a twist lock cord.

Hi Maria, The difference between the a standard and twist lock pump would be the type of power cord used. You can click >Twist Lock cord to see the twist lock cord and click here >Standard 3 Prong Cord to see the standard 3 prong cord.

What are the differences between above ground and in the ground pool motors and pumps???

The above ground pool pumps are designed to use gravity keeping the pump filled with water for them to start up while the in ground models typically do not. Also the above ground models are usually 110 volt that plug into an outlet while in ground types are hard wired to a timer/breaker.
