I need a replacement motor for Pentair dynamo 1.5HP Motor 193262 part#340318. Which motor would I order from you?
Hi, Pat. Based on the info provided the BN24V1 would be the correct replacement motor. The 1.5 HP SPL rating on the pump is a special (SPL) labeled model. It does not refer to the actual horsepower of the motor. I would also recommend that you get the Dynamo Tune Up Kit - GOKIT46.
can you replacea C48AB48A01motor with aBN35V1motor for a haywrd pump?

need to replace ultima circ pump on hot tub , 220 volts ,1 speed, 0.25 horsepower , 2 3/8 od thread to thread , model # 1030010 do you guys carry a replacement , does the horsepower need to be the same as old one if it is not thanks
Good morning Don, Unfortunately we do not carry that motor. The only way to get that low of a horsepower is to get a dual speed and run it on its low setting. You do not have to get the same horsepower but if you change the size of the motor you will have to change the impeller to match. By changing the impeller you are pumping more water changing pressure and flow. Here is a link to all the parts we sell for that current pump. Vico Ultima & Ultima Plus Pump Parts
how to wire pump to 230 volt
Hi, When wiring this motor for 230 volts you will use the L1 and L6 terminals. Since both leads are 115 volts it does not matter which lead is placed on L1 and L6. Then your ground goes to the green screw.

I currently have a Sta-Rite Pump Model JWPA5FL-2A, would part BN35V1 be a suitable replacement ? What would you recommend, thank you for your advice & time.
Hi Brian, The BN35V1 motor is the correct replacement for the JWPA5FL-2A pump. I would also recommend that you replace the shaft seal and o-rings which can be found on the Sta-Rite JWPA Series Parts page.
My existin part number is model Jwpas5f-2a4. Will this one work as a replacement?
Hi Teresa, This motor can also work with your JWPAS5F-2A4 pump, it will actually be a direct replacement. I would also recommend replacing the pump shaft seal and o-ring which can be found via the Sta-Rite JWPA Series Parts.

Hi Art, The 1.5 H.P 230/115V Thru Bolt Motor (BN35, BN35SS, BN35V1) will be the correct replacement motor for your JWPA5F7L-2A1 pump. You will need to replace the Shaft seal and o-rings which can be found via the Sta-Rite JWPA Series Parts.

I have an Optiflo 347986 1.5 HP that I need to replace. I'd like to replace it with a 1 HP duel speed motor. Can you help me with the replacement including shaft seal kit? Also, does it come with an on/off switch including toggling between the speeds? Thanks
Hi George, If you replaced your 1.5 hp motor with a 1 HP dual speed motor then this would require that you replace your motor, impeller, tune up kit and you would need to purchase a switch separately. All of these items would cost more than a new 1 HP dual speed pump. With this being said I would suggest the 1 HP Dual Speed Dynamo Pump the Dynamo pump does have the hi / lo switch integrated into the motor. It does not come with a cord as you would use the cord from your old pump for the new pump.
My pump motor has the number 7 186884 20 . Will this motor work as a replacement for my motor?

I have a sta rite s48a53a03 motor for my above ground pool and want to replace it. Is this the correct replacement motor? what other kits will I need? Thanks
Hi Bill, Yes this is the correct replacement motor for you s48a53a03 motor. The most common Sta-Rite pump this motor was used on was the JWPA series, if you have a JWPA pump then you would require the Sta-Rite JWPA Shaft Seal. If you don't have the JWPA pump then send us an email with your pump model or a picture of your pump and we will let you know the shaft seal you need.
Hi, the old pump currently in my pool has an item number 717744903 with serial number BU714. Would this part be a good replacement to my old pump?
I'm trying to find a replacement motor for my pool pump but my model number doesn't match what you have listed as the model number. My model number begins with a C48 and yours begins with an SP. Please help.
What we have listed on our chart pages is the pump model number. The model number you have will just identify the motor. If you look on the plastic housing on the pump there should be a sticker which will have the pump model number. You can usually find this by the discharge port on the pump. Once you locate it you can choose the correct replacement motor. Be certain to change the shaft seal and gaskets as needed. You can use our >How to guide if you need help.
Why should I purchase a Tune Up Kit?
A Tune Up Kit includes all of the essential replacement seals and gaskets for the pump. The seals and gaskets should be replaced when installing a new motor on your pump. New seals will prevent the pump from leaking water or losing the prime. A Tune Up Kit will protect your motor and ensure that the pump is working efficiently.
Why do I need to purchase a new shaft seal?
We strongly recommend replacing the shaft seal. The purpose of a shaft seal is to prevent water from running down the shaft of the motor and into the motor housing. Water will damage the bearings and cause the motor to fail. A new shaft seal should be installed whenever a motor is replaced. The motor manufacturer can deny the warranty if the motor fails to due to water damage from a faulty shaft seal. To find your shaft seal you will need to visit our Pool Pump Parts Page or the Spa Pump Parts Page and select your make and model.
What is Service Factor?
Service Factor(SF) is a multiplier that when multiplied by the horsepower of the motor indicates the total permissible horsepower loading that may be carried when the motor is operating at rated voltage and frequency. The most important thing to remember when replacing a motor is that the replacement motor's horsepower times its service factor must be equal to or greater than the original motor's horsepower times its service factor. The Service Factor rating can be found on the motor label. See Step 4 of our How to Read a Pool Motor Label guide.
Can you replace single speed pump motor with dual speed pump motor?
Yes but you can't go with a higher HP than the single speed motor. For example if you have a 1 HP single speed you cannot go with a 1.5 HP dual speed motor; you would be able to use a 1 HP dual speed motor. Customer would need to purchase a toggle switch or timer to switch from high speed to low speed.

(4 out of 5 stars) 1-1/2 HP Motor

Pros: Capacitor can be replaced
Cons: Does not come with cord
I'll try to put a positive spin on a motor clearly assembeled by a 7 year old in China. This is the theme everywhere, not just here. INYO Pools customer service was great and shipping time was acceptable. I bought this in the off season, so shipping time was not an issue for me. INYO Pools have nice instruction videos to help with the replacement. The motor has access to the capacator when removing the end cover. This is good because most motors only need a capacator to fix them. The end cover isn't weather tight, nor are the plugs in the end cover to install the power cord. Not sure if this matters, I'll RTV the seams. I whish there was an option to have the cord installed on the motor, but no big deal. I suspect it's because there are so many different cord types due to pool codes from our retarded government. I have not been able to plug it in and run it yet because it's still winter, but there is no reason for it not to work. I also bought a mechanical seal and some o-rings for the pump here. A bit over priced compared to other places like ebay, but it was just as easy to buy them here. Overall positive experience with INYO Pools.
