I ordered a BN37 pump and impeller turns counter clock wise. How do I wire it to turn Clockwise? I have a 3 wire power cord Green,White & Black The lable states: Ground # 1 High Speed I attached White Wire to # 1 # 5 Common I attached Black Wire to # 5 # 6 Low Speed No Wire attached This now turnes Counter Clockwise. How do I change to Clockwise? Thanks so much for your help.
Hi, Robert. These motor can not be wired for a reverse rotation, it will only rotate in a counterclockwise rotation.
We have a model number LEA-30 pump and would like to know what motor fits it
Hello Mary - The BN37 will work if you have a thru-bolt style 48Y frame 1HP 2-speed 115v motor. Check the specifications on your current motor to see if these match.
I have a jacuzzi above ground pool filter unit with Magnetek 7-186654-01 1 HP 2 speed motor. When I searched on this model number, the present site came up but I don't see my model number listed. Would the BN37 be the correct replacement?
Hi Phil, Yes this BN37 motor is the correct replacement motor for your Magnetek 7-186654-01 1 HP 2 speed motor.
Need new motor/pump assembly for 24' round 52" pool. Old pump is Waterway, 2HP, 2-speed, Hi Flo SD 1502189245. We always run it on high to move 30 GPM in 8 hours. Low doesn't cut it; barely moves the water. We want our next model to be timer compatible. Looking at Hayward Power Flo Matrix. Need a pump with horizontal fixture. Is 2HP too much? Thinking dual speed, 1.5HP would be better. We got the 2HP our local store had on shelf. What do you recommend? Which timer do we need to match? Thx :)
Hi, Laura. A 2HP pump could be too big depending on the size of your filter.
The two speed pump motor switch broke where can i purchase a new switch.
Hi Bob, The toggle switch may be available if you can provide the model of the toggle switch assy.
I need to replace a Proline SKP712.2 above ground 2 speed pump motor. The model # is PE71-III-H. It is an Emerson motor with a model # of C55CXKEF-4876. It doesn't give me the HP, but I expect it to be 1 HP. Its. 115 volt 2 speed. MFG #ME08C and is a 48Y frame motor. 16.0/4.8 amps. Do you have something that will cross to this?
I need to replace a Hayward Magnitek Dual Power 1 Hp Motor 115V Serial Number BN9-29. What should I be looking at?
We would need to know the part or catalog number from the motor label to ID the correct motor.
I have a manga tech motor in my jacuzzi that has part number 7-177782-03. Can you tell me the replacement motor I need with this info? Thanks, Mike
Mike- Based off the part number you provided the BN37 would be the correct replacement motor.

This motor runs extremely hot in my hot tub. can you explain if this is normal. very hot to the touch.
Hello, The motors will run hot to the touch. If the thermal overload does not shut the motor off, it is within normal operating temperature.
I am in the market for a capacitor for the Magnetek Century a/c motor model 7-193077-01. If you could help, I would appreciate it. thanks
Hi Skip, Your motor would require this Capacitor.
I need to get a spa motor for our hottub, its BN37V1, and I also need a pump, but having a hard time finding one. Do you have any pumps to go with the motor? And what is the cost. I will need both. Thanks
Hi Joe, Yes the AquaFlo Spa Pump has the BN37 Motor this would be the complete spa pump and motor.
I'm trying to find a replacement motor for my pool pump but my model number doesn't match what you have listed as the model number. My model number begins with a C48 and yours begins with an SP. Please help.
What we have listed on our chart pages is the pump model number. The model number you have will just identify the motor. If you look on the plastic housing on the pump there should be a sticker which will have the pump model number. You can usually find this by the discharge port on the pump. Once you locate it you can choose the correct replacement motor. Be certain to change the shaft seal and gaskets as needed. You can use our >How to guide if you need help.
Why should I purchase a Tune Up Kit?
A Tune Up Kit includes all of the essential replacement seals and gaskets for the pump. The seals and gaskets should be replaced when installing a new motor on your pump. New seals will prevent the pump from leaking water or losing the prime. A Tune Up Kit will protect your motor and ensure that the pump is working efficiently.
Why do I need to purchase a new shaft seal?
We strongly recommend replacing the shaft seal. The purpose of a shaft seal is to prevent water from running down the shaft of the motor and into the motor housing. Water will damage the bearings and cause the motor to fail. A new shaft seal should be installed whenever a motor is replaced. The motor manufacturer can deny the warranty if the motor fails to due to water damage from a faulty shaft seal. To find your shaft seal you will need to visit our Pool Pump Parts Page or the Spa Pump Parts Page and select your make and model.
What is Service Factor?
Service Factor(SF) is a multiplier that when multiplied by the horsepower of the motor indicates the total permissible horsepower loading that may be carried when the motor is operating at rated voltage and frequency. The most important thing to remember when replacing a motor is that the replacement motor's horsepower times its service factor must be equal to or greater than the original motor's horsepower times its service factor. The Service Factor rating can be found on the motor label. See Step 4 of our How to Read a Pool Motor Label guide.
Can you replace single speed pump motor with dual speed pump motor?
Yes but you can't go with a higher HP than the single speed motor. For example if you have a 1 HP single speed you cannot go with a 1.5 HP dual speed motor; you would be able to use a 1 HP dual speed motor. Customer would need to purchase a toggle switch or timer to switch from high speed to low speed.
(5 out of 5 stars) Great Pump
Reviewed By: pool person from Huntsburg, OH ()
Pros: Was much less expensive than replacing the whole pump unit
Cons: Was alittle confusing to wire.
Had a pump going bad on an above ground pool. Replacing the whole unit was very expensive. Decided to try just replacing the pump. This one has worked great. It has the two speed option we were looking for to help save on the energy costs. Is quiet and very powerful. We have only had it for a couple of months, but it has worked well. Have already put it away for the winter here in Ohio, but do not anticipate having any troubles with restart in the spring. Much more economical way to go than buying a whole new pump and filtration system like the pool places want you to do. Glad we ordered it.
(5 out of 5 stars) Perfect replacement

Pros: 1 to 1 replacement
My motor went out and the Spa was about 10 years old. Found this motor to be a perfect replacement for my existing unit. Works great and arrived in fantastic shape.
(4 out of 5 stars) Good 2 speed motor - runs quiet
Reviewed By: Joe N. from El Paso, TX ()
Pros: Good price, arrived quickly (4-5 days) and runs quiet.
Perfect fit and runs nice and quiet. Good price and arrived quickly. It came with a slinger gasket that keeps water from getting in the motor. I found out about a slinger gasket after it was too late for my old motor.
