Is this seal a match for hayward / century pump model SP3210Z1BE? For use in salt water pool....

Yes, as long as you have the original Tristar motor on the Tristar pump then that would be the correct saltwater shaft seal.

Hi, Dana. The following pump seals SPX1600Z2 (OEM), AS-1521 (Generic) and or PS-3868 (Saltwater) will work with the Hayward SP2600 Series pump.

Hi, will this seal work with older 2002-2007 Northstar pumps? I have a model SP4015X20NS and would like to select this seal over the hayward seal because I use a salt chlorine generator and an ozonator. Thanks!

Hi Stefan, The correct Shaft Seal for your Northstar Pump 200-2007 will be the Seal Assembly (1998-2007) (SPX4000SA2).

Why should I purchase the heavy duty seal?
 Reply

A  Answered on 1/17/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The heavy duty shaft seal features carbon graphite, stainless steel, and Viton rubber. The properties of this seal contribute to the resistance of chemical corrosion. This is the best choice for salt chlorine generators or ozonators.
