Are there specs on how many microns this filter is rated at? Is there available another filter that won't allow finer particles to pass through?

As a rule, sand filters sift particles ranging from 20 to 40 microns in size. Cartridge filters can sift particles as small as 10 to 20 microns in size. DE filters can sift contaminants as small as 1 to 3 microns in size. This makes DE filtration at least five to six times more efficient than sand filtration systems.

I have used this chamber for a few years with good results. This year wihen vacuuming the dirt/residue is getting around the filter and discharging into the pool. The filter is only about 1 month old. Any suggestions? Thank you.

In order for dirty unfiltered water to return to your pool, there has to be a place for the water to pass through. It is possible the cartridge is not seated properly, there is a crack in the plastic form the cartridge sits on, or there is a rip/tear in the pleats of the cartridge.

I inherited a Pentair FNPS 60 that I want to replace with a cartridge type filter. 14,200 gallon pool w/ spa, water feature, Polaris 360, 2HP (uprated 2.6) motor (Older Ultra Flow), 2" pipes. The way I calculate things, the pool has a bit more than is needed, but It is what it is. Can you advise what my best filter size options are? I think the Pentair Clean and Clear Plus filter would fit the same hookup?

I have a Hayward Star Clear c-1500 filter which is now leaking from the bottom. I cannot seem to find a replacement body and have been told it can be replaced with the c-17502... does this use the same size filter cartridges as the c-1500?

I currently have a C1750 cartridge. I am needing to replace the lower half but the center rod is 'stuck' in the upper half of the cylinder. Therefore I am looking at replacing the whole unit and I want to make sure this is the correct replacement option? Does this unit include: O-ring kit/ air relief valve/ pressure gauge and filter? How about the Center rod and hose?
