Hi Mike, This Pump can be used on a 36,000 gallon pool depending on the total feet of head of your pool. I would recommend calculation the TFH of your pool using our How To: Size a Pool Pump guide to confirm if this pump will provide at least 75 GPM based on the feet of head of your pool to achieve an 8 hour turnover rate.

Existing electric line in bad shape. Connects directly to breaker box. Also wires are a bear to try to connect to screw terminals inside of motor because of small space and thick gauge of wires. I notice this motor also has tab connectors for wires too. Where do I find suitable new outdoor quality electric cable for this Jacuzzi Magnum 3/4 230/115 pump? .

Bill, You should be able to locate suitable wiring at Home Depot or Lowe's.

i need to replace a pool motor plus pump.
The motor is a Century Centurion and the pump is a Jacuzzi - Magnum Force.
The manufactures label for the motor shows 2.0 HP, but there is also a label that shows Total HP = 2.4.
Question - what actual HP do i need? Thanks

Yes if you have a 2hp motor with a higher Service Factor then you would go with this unit. You can also go with Magnum Force V Series 2.7HP Variable Speed Pump (VMF-S2) - 94026140

when we get it running it runs counterclockwise, shouldn't it be running clockwise? plus after we get it running and stop it it binds up, what to do?

Hi. The motor will rotate counterclockwise looking at the motor from the shaft end. If the motor is binding, you may have the impeller on too tight.
