I have this pump, I need a replacement motor and o-ring set only. The 1.5hp motor that comes up on your site does not show it is for the Max_E_Pro and doesn't have the starter capacitor on top, the 2HP looks right and shows Max_E_Pro, but I'm not positive. What do I need? Thanks

Hi Christopher, The A.O. Smith 1 1/2 H.P Square Flange Full Rate Motor (SQ1152) and the Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro Tune Up Kit (GOKIT79) would be the correct replacement motor and kit for this pump.

I bought this pump 6 years ago. it has been working fine until now. the pump will run fine for about 3 to 4 hrs and it kicks the breaker off and pump cuts off. The next day . I cut the breaker back on , it runs for a couples of hours and it kicks the breaker off and cuts off. I feels the pump and it feels hot. the breaker is a 20 amps. the electrician tested it and said the pump was pulling what it was suppose to. This is a 1 AND 1/2 hp pump . The pool is an in ground , 20,000 gal. Help!

Irene, It sounds like the thermal overload or the capacitor can be the issue. You can try replacing the capacitor to see if resolves the issue.

what is the flow rate?
 Reply

A  Answered on 8/17/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alan M.

The flow rate is defined as such: A term used to determine the amount of water that flows past a certain point within a specified amount of time. Gallons per minute is the usual measurement and is known as GPM. A 10,000-gallon pool with medium usage needs to have a flow rate of 20.8 gpm for proper turnover.

Hello, Mike. This may be a great pump for your pool size or it could be a bit of an overkill. I best recommend reviewing our How to Size a Pool Pump for Your In-Ground Pool guide and video.

Hi, Lonnie. The pump is not going to be noise unless something is trapped in it. The noise may be coming from the motor. We do have the replacement motor and parts but not the complete unit. The replacement motor and parts are listed on the Sta-Rite Dyna-Glas and Dyna-Max Parts Diagram page.

Good day, I am interested in a monitoring device for my pump while I am away from my hydroponic farm. 1. What I need from a device is something that would show me that my pump is online from my smart phone. If my pump were to shut down I would like to be notified (via an alarm, Text message or email) so I can make a call to have it rectified as soon as possible. Could you let me know if there is a device where I can remotely monitor my pump? Kind regards.

The Pro Logic Base System Control for P-4 - PLP4 is the entry level for swimming automation. The system will require the purchase of the following items. The Aqua Connect Home Network - AQCOHOMENET, the AQL2BASERF, Aqua Logic Valve Actuator - GVA24 to add to any valves that need to be rotated automatically. If you are in the market for a new motor and have 208-230 Volt connection, the Variable Speed Pool Pump Motors by Century would be another option. To control the pump via smartphone or online, you will require adding the Century Motor VLink - VL100

I've had this pump for about 10 years now. Had to replace the motor after 8 years , and now the newer motor is having bearing issues so I expect it will fail relatively soon. Would you recommend replacing just the motor or the entire pump considering the age of the pump?
 Reply

A  Answered on 9/10/2019 by Industry Professional

Due to the age, we would recommend replacing the entire pump. We would recommend either PureLine Prime Pool Pump 2 HP - PL2603 or PureLine Prime 2.7 HP Variable Speed Pool Pump - PL2606.

is this(p6e6f-207l) equivalent to the sta-rite p6ra6f-206l pump?
 Reply

A  Answered on 4/10/2020 by InyoPools Product Specialist Matt S.

The P6E6F-207L is the fullrated 1.5 horsepower and the P6RA6F-206L is the uprated 1.5 horsepower. Fullrated motors are more powerful, having a higher total HP and usually are fitted with larger impellers allowing them to push more water.

Had this pump for about 15 years on its 3rd motor now. I’m getting suction loss somewhere, pool just isn’t moving water like it used to. It almost seems like the pump is where the suction loss is. If I try to run just skimmer I get air bubbles in the pump. Could there be a leak near the propeller inside? Not sure if it’s fixable with gaskets or time to move on. This loss of suction is very sudden. Maybe I just need to go over all my unions really good.

Hi Robert, most often this is due to an air suction leak. Here is a guide that we put together called "How to test for suction side air leaks" that should assist in locating the issue.
