Hi Richard - This lid Measures 13-1/2-inches Tall by 12-1/2-inches wide by 12-inches long. "After 11-98" refers to that this lid works on Pentair Clean & Clear, Predator or EasyClean Filters manufactured after November 1998.

It's definitely the right part but the old base is expanded just a bit... any tips on how to get it on if this is the case? I currently have a ratchet tie down strap around it and think maybe i can squeeze it in slightly... or do i need a new oring?

Hi, Tricia. Remove the o-ring to see if the lid would fit onto the base. If it does, lubricate the o-ring to see if it will now fit. If it does not, measure the o-ring to make sure it's a 1/4" thick. If not, replace the Body O-ring - 87300400.

Hi Lynn, yes this is the correct filter lid for the Pentair Easy clean model filter manufactured 11-98. If you are not sure of the date of manufacture then you will need to locate the serial number and either provide that to us or to Pentair to confirm when it was manufactured.

Hello Steve. The Predator/Clean and Clear Tank O-ring is the tank lid O-ring for the Pentair Clean & Clear Filter Series. The 0-ring fits tightly around the filter base. Please be certain to lubricate the O-ring prior to attaching the lid. Magic Lube O-ring Lubricant 1 Oz. Teflon
