Does this motor come with a cord? If not, do you supply the correct cord?

The Magnatek BN25 does not come with a cord. For a 115 volt application, if you need a twist lock cord, you can find it here: http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07501352011327.htm or a standard 3 prong cord here: http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07501352015032.htm

Does this motor come with the power cord and on-off switch?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/11/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi Dave, There is not a switch on the back of the motor. The on/off switch is part number 18374501 and can be purchased separately. This motor does not come with a cord as normally you would remove the cord off of your your current pump and use it with the new motor.

I had our pool winterized and the people who did it took parts with them. I am trying to open the pool myself and and finding it difficult without the parts. I think they took drain plugs out of the motor. Is that possible? If so, how do I get replacements? I have a Regal Beloit motor BN25V1. It's leaking from a hole in the back and a second hole behind a filter housing. Can you help?

What is your pump model and I can recommend the correct seals and gaskets you need to eliminate the leak. If you do not know then you can attach a picture and I can identify it for you.

Will this motor replace the motor attached in the picture? It is from a Jacuzzi filter. Also I have water leaking from the shaft going into the existing motor. Will that be a new seal replacement? Thanks.

A  Answered on 1/5/2021 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

Hi Frank, yes this is the correct replacement motor for your motor. When replacing a pool motor we do suggest a Seal Kit. Could you send us a few photos of your pump so we can suggest the proper seal kit? If so then please take a wide shot of the complete pump to include the pipes going in and out of the pump. To supply photos simply click the reply link below and upload your photos or quickest provide those using our live online chat feature. Once we get those photos we can make the proper recommendation for your seal kit.

The correct motor to replace your 0-187873-20 (1.5 HP SPL) is the BN25V1. The correct shaft seal to complete the motor installation onyour Hayward Power-Flo LX SP1580 would be the Standard Shaft Seal or the Heavy Duty Shaft Seal (For Saltwater Pools)

Hello Bob.  The photo you provided indicates that you currently have a dual speed motor.  The Century Motors 1.0 HP Thru-Bolt motor model BN25V1 is a compatible single speed motor.   The Century Motors 1.0 HP Thru-Bot Dual Speed motor model BN37V1 is a compatible motor and more closely aligns with the specifications of your current motor.   Century 1.0 HP Thru-Bolt 48Y Dual Speed Low Amps Motor - BN37V1
