As long as you can re-use the old plumbing fittings this could be used. This has no plumbing fittings but could be used.

In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.

If you are looking just for the body of the multi-port valve, that would be part number SPX0715ALLAA Please note that a new 2 Inch multi-port valve is only about $25 more complete.

Hi Ed, Back in the day Purex / Pentair used Hayward valves on there Purex Triton filters however some while back Pentair started making there on valves. With this being said there are two valves which can be used on your filter the Hayward SP715ALL Valve or the Pentair 261055 Valve. The 261055 valve is a lot easier. There is a Slight difference in this and that old SP715 valve which has the pump and return ports one above the other. The 261055 will have them slightly staggered. The advantage of the 261055 Valve is that you won’t have to redo the plumbing coming from valve to filter. The SP715ALL Valve will have to be re-plumbed with new bulkhead nuts and pipe and the plumbing will have to be quite exact or the bulkhead nuts on the valve won’t match the spacing on the filter.

Hi Russell, This Hayward 2" Multiport Valve (SP0715ALL) can replace the SP71520T Valve which would require you to make your own connection from the filter tank to the valve.

I need to replace the PVC from the pump to the Valve 2" Multiport Hayward (sp0715all) control. It is leaking where it enters the valve. I don't have it apart yet but I want to pick the pipe fittings up on the way home. I know it uses 2" PVC but the threaded inlet is much larger than that. What size is that opening so I can pick up the right reducer to connect it to the 2" line?

You would need threaded 2 inch mip's for plumbing 2 inch pvc to these ports.

Hi Dan, I was not able to find any info on a Pac Fab SP-725-DE valve. This valve can be used with a Pac Fab filter, however if you can upload photos of your valve we can confirm if this valve will work.

Hi, This Hayward SP0715ALL Valve does not have pre-plumbed connections to the filter tank. You will have to make that connection.

I bought your spo715all valve to replace an old 715xr50. It does not come with the two filter unions required to connect it to the filter. there is a short 2" union and a 9 or 10" 90 degree union required. There is also a 1/2" hole that requires a plug, also not included. I cannot find these parts in your catalog and my local pool places have not been able to help either. can you provide me with the information to find these parts?

Do they have left hand and right hand models , the one I have looks different . Two ports on left side waste on right . Sight glass on right as well ?

Hi, Instead of the product on this page we would suggest this Replacement Key Assembly for Hayward SP715 Valves we also suggest this SP715 Cover O-Ring and this SP715 Spider Gasket. You will also require this Spider Gasket Adhesive for installing the spider gasket.

Will this valve replace a SP0715G11 top mount on a S310 Pro Series sand filter?
Hi Thomas, this will not work for your S310 filter. You would need this Generic Top Mount Valve for Hayward Sand 2" (SP071621) for 2" plumbing or this Top Mount Valve for Sand 1.5" - PL0714 if you have 1-1/2" plumbing.

Hello, most often the reason these multiport valves begin to be difficult to rotate is due to the spider gasket within them failing. We recommend removing the valve top assembly to inspect the spider gasket within it. Here is a guide that we put together called "How to Replace a Spider Gasket on a Multiport Valve" that gives a better visual as to how these types of valves come apart.
