This guide will help determine how to choose the proper brush for your pool, which would be determined by your current pool surface.

Step by Step

Top

Step 1

First, you will need to determine your pool surface type. Is your pool surface Concrete/Gunite, Fiberglass or Vinyl? This is important, as brushes are available with Stainless Steel, Nylon, or both combination of Stainless Steel and Nylon Bristles.

Step 2

Once you have determined your pool surface, you can select the proper brush. For Gunite surfaces you can use a brush with stainless steel bristles. For unpainted concrete surfaces, you can use a combination of stainless and nylon bristles. Vinyl and painted concrete surfaces would require nylon bristles only.

Anonymous (steel brush) - I's not sure if you can use a steel brush on a marcite surface. I'd try it on a little section out of the way.
