How old is your sand? Is your water pressure under normal filtering a strong current? Do you have a dual or variable speed motor that is running on a lower speed?Reply

TonyC - Some indications that your pressure gauge may need to be replaced: vapor or water in the gauge; cracks in the glass; gauge doesn't go back to 0 when pressure is off; when you tap it, the arrow moves; or it reads consistently high after you clean or replace your filter cartridge.Reply
