What is the port on the sweep elbow used for?

The purpose of the sweep elbow is to allow for maximum efficiency by using the fewest possible number of fittings. The larger JS series sand filters come with a Jandy Sweep Elbow for this purpose. The sweep elbow also includes a threaded port and plug so that a ½" hose bib can be connected for pressure testing. If you have any further questions please feel free to reply to this email.
