I would like to mount the controller in a covered area. I will need 10-15 feet of cable. If the cable is not long enough can I use a standard 24 gauge wire?

Yes if the cord provided does not reach the area needed you can use a different wire to make the connection.

If I mount the user interface remotely, use a longer wire and the existing connectors that come with the pump as suggested in the manual (page 31,32), will that void the warranty? Page 33, says while an optional kit is offered to mount the interface remotely "it is not mandatory to purchase this kit to mount the User Interface remotely." and it does not say here you will void the warranty if you do. The previous answer says you can use a different wire if a longer run is needed.

If you need to use a longer wire from the interface terminals then yes you can but if you are splicing the wires from the motor to use a longer wire for mounting the controls then that would void the warranty on the motor.
