18K gallon pool, covered, in Washington state. Is this a big enough heater? What wire size does it take?

Hi Randy, This unit is adequate for an 18K gallon pool in Washington state. It requires a 60 amp 230 volt breaker. The actual wire gauge is based on the run from the breaker to the unit.
