old hose barb has broken off in pipe, any tips on removing it so I can install new hose barb

Hi, Lee. We do not have any specific instructions, however, you can use an extractor bit. Also, they're several YouTube videos available.

HOSE BARB NYLON 1/4" FOR COND AND MANIFOLD WATER PR SW LINE - 2642 What does this part do? I have water squirting out a tiny opening on my AeroTemp heater.

This part is used to let the heat pump know there is water flow.. A clear tube connects to this hose barb nipple on one end and the other end connects to a pressure switch. When water is flowing, the tube pressurizes and closes the pressure switch. The heat pump will not run unless the pressure switch closes.

The hose barb typically goes on top of the heat exchanger.
