Hi Albert, Winterizing your pool requires the water level to be drained below the skimmer.

Last year we did not winterize the pool with this kit and we had to end up draining to get the water clear. This year after using the winterize kit , pool is still crystal clear.

We drained pool 16 inches and covered the skimmer plate and chlorinator. Then we added the winterizing chemicals to balance and prepare pool for the winter. Finally the cover was put on and properly fastened.

I opened the box and followed the instructions for using this kit when I winterized my pool. The kit helped make this the easiest spring opening I've ever done.

Winterizing new pool

Bought these for closing the pool for winter. Followed directions and dispersed product into pool. Let it circulate for a couple hours before blowing out lines and adding anti-freeze. Keeping my fingers crossed next spring when taking the cover off that it will be perfectly clear!

I vacuumed and balanced pool and mixed chemicals and added to pool one at a time. I put the cover on and left pump on for 24 hours. Then I drained down below the skimmer. Easy

We have been using this winterizing kit the last several years and love it, it nice to know when you take the cover off at the begining of the summer your pool is going to be crystal clear and ready for you to enjoy!!

I've had wonderful results with this! Like the others, my pool was perfect when we opened it. For some reason unknown to me, it can no longer be shipped to me in Kentucky. I hope I can find an equivalent replacement this year.
