PL1643 PureLine Pump Union
This pump union is used on the PureLine Pure Flow Pumps (PL16 Series) and PureLine Pure Pro XL Pumps (PL15 Series). The 1-1/2" male union threads screw into the female threads of the pump ports, or you can remove the male portion of the union and screw the union nut onto the male threads of the pump ports.
Unions will really make your life easier if you need to do any maintenance on your pump as you simply unscrew the union to remove your pump from your plumbing. The alternative without unions is to cut your plumbing to remove the pump and then when the pump needs to go back into place you have to re-plumb and glue. Unions are a necessity if you will be removing your pump from your plumbing during the winter.

Hi, The Pump Union is to easily remove and install the pump for repairs and or maintenance work. That way you do not have to cut any pipe, you will unscrew the union.

Will This work on a Flow Xtreme NE4515 pump.
or is there a female thread / 1-1/2" slip fitting that threads directly onto pump threads

Hi Dave, Yes, it is compatible with Flow Xtreme NE4515 pump. It is both compatible with the internal inlet & outlet thread and the external inlet & outlet thread by taking some parts off from the union.

Will this work with the Hayward super pump for Hayward Multiflow Valve?

The PL1643 union will work with the Super Pump and multiport valve as long as they have 1.5" ports. The Hayward Super pumps that are less than 2HP should have 1.5" ports. Hayward multiport valves with numbers like SP710 and SP714 would have 1.5" ports.

I thought I was buying a complete union to fit the pump I purchased. This is only half a union. This is the female part of the union. I could not use this part since it did not have the male part to go with it.
