I have a Hayward filter which requires 4 filters. Filter casing says to use either CX875RE or CX1380RE and I don't know which to order. The Hayward filter says on the housing that it is serial # 2487 and 330D32.

Your best bet will be to measure your cartridges. The CX875RE measures 25-1/2" Long and the CX1380RE will measure 32-7/8" long. When the pumpis running, I am losing water from the black piece at the top that has the pressure gauge. Seems to be coming from the center of that piece rather thanfrom the bottom. Is there an O-ring or anything that may be to blame or do I need the whole piece?

Hi Collis, You would have to replace the entire Air Relief Assembly (DEX2400S).

Is this cartridge a suitable replacement for a BlueHaven Pools "Smart filter Size 550 BHCA5520M4? I believe Blue Haven sells its own version under this name.

This is indeed a OEM replacement for the Blue Haven Filter. I found a cross reference page on their site - HERE. There is also a generic version of this cartridge element available, part number NFC1297. Listed amongst its alternate part numbers is CX1380RE
