Hayward’s Elite Underwater Quartz Halogen pool light is engineered for installation in all above-ground pools. The optical lens disburses the light for full pool coverage. The through-the-wall in-ground design can be installed anywhere around the pool for optimum lighting and doesn’t interfere with the pool’s filtration. The multi-colored lens kit adds an elegant touch to the pool’s lighting, to create a special effect or enhance the mood. The light housing assembly and lens are constructed of a high-grade chemical resistant acrylic material for durability. The light housing comes pre-wired with 25 feet of cord and 120v/12v transformer with on/off switch that can be installed in both storable and permanent above-ground pools. The cutout in the wall of my pool is 3 and 1/2 inches. Will this light work? I think this light calls for a 3 and 5/8" cutout.

As long as the hole is smaller than the 3-5/8" you will be ok, as the light comes with a wall cutting tool which will allow you to make the 3-5/8" hole needed.

We are replacing our light, it needs to have a 3.25" diameter opening for the existing hole. What is the diameter size of the light?

Hi Christina, The Hayward Above Ground Pool Light & Lens Kit is designed to fit into the return jet of an above ground pool. It cn fit into and existing hole of 3-5/8" or smaller.

I have had it for a season and now I’m into my second one. The installation was a breeze and took only about an hour to do. Loved the design and the look of the pool during the summer nights is fantastic. Definitely the way to go if you want to add a light for swimming and also for safety reasons.

This light is perfectly fine for the money. I have not tried the colored lenses yet though. This lights up my 18X40 very nicely.

I find this light to be too bright. When we put the colored cover on to change it still leaves an outer ring of white light. If the colored lenses covered completly it would be a great light.
